Welcome Welcome to the 3rd edition of our magazine! This issue is very exciting because of the topic, Defining Your Avatar. In this issue we speak to our guests to find our how they found their avatar (Dream Client) and what they suggest we do to find ours. This resonates with me because I was all over the map and really had to reach out to my friends in this magazine to understand who I could help and have the most fun doing that. As many people reading this know, I have been helping Realtors, Ag producers, investors, fitness trainers, network marketers, product developers, and on an on! What I needed to do was get more clear and more efficient so that I didn’t burn out or confuse my potential clients. Dana Derricks is a big cover feature because meeting him and enrolling in his Dream 100 program has really had an impact on my business and my life. Alex Dee is just amazing person with energy, simplicity, and determination to help his avatar win. His business and life hacks are sure to have an impact on your life, and I really respect the credible friend he is. Amanda Panda Williams is also such a kind person who really traveled a journey to find her avatar, but she has found them both and is really creating an emotion that is attractive and inspiring. And in this issue, my son, Luke Aberle is our first Apprentice Business Master. Luke is my 10 year old son with big aspirations to do remarkable in his career. To be the best business owner in the world today you must truly understand your avatar. How could you possibly be successful at selling your products or services without a clear picture as to who that customer is? We must understand that for us to be successful long term in business, we must define our avatar client. If you are not sure what I mean regarding the term “Avatar Client”, I am referring to your dream client. If you haven’t identified your Avatar client then you are surely struggling with what product or service to sell, the marketing, the value added pieces, and evaluating the success or failure. You see I myself too, used to really struggle with this problem until I realized that both my focus and language were all over the map, and it was unclear as to who I was selling to. I had great products and services, but without a clear idea of who my buyer was and how I was going to introduce them to each other. I spent a great deal of time hoping and praying that someone would come and buy from me, but when I thought about it, I wasn’t clear who that could possibly be. I am a Business Acceleration Coach that is hired by many people and companies for business coaching and consulting determined to learn and succeed. These clients come from many different industries, in 7 different countries and with very different cultures, and different needs. A few years ago a big problem arose for our company, Troy Aberle International. We added more coaches, became more diverse and offered a wider variety of services to a broader audience. But it quickly became almost impossible to do social media postings with purpose and clarity because we were all over the map and our audience was confused as to what we were really offering.

Just imagine trying to deliver social media posts to realtors in the USA and Canada, product developers in Europe, or people from the oil and gas industry located in Canada and the Middle East! No one really knew who my messages were for! It was very confusing! At one point everyone was asking, ”what the heck is he doing now and how will it help my business? So we recalibrated and got clarity on our target audience for each coach so that there was no more confusion. Then the business really became successful and much more fun to operate, and more efficient with marketing costs when you speak directly to the people you know you can help. I had no choice but to pick my Avatar for myself and become passionate about those people specifically. This Avatar is real estate professionals, simply because I always loved helping realtors and brokers run blockbuster businesses and creating excitement for the people who work for them! I have to staying focused with my communication to my Avatar so that I am clearly, understood and trusted to be a credible source of knowledge. This is what made me attractive for people to obtain my services and buy my knowledge. You cannot be attractive to your client if you are not speaking to them directly and are unclear with your messaging. So here is the exact questions I answered to define my avatar: 1. What is the industry that attracts me to learn about, invest in, and advise people with valuable training discussions? Answer: Real Estate 2. What professional roles do I want to work with? Answer: Realtors and Brokers and professionals whom support this industry. 3. Why this Avatar? Answer: I love sales, management, real estate, and creating the best customer experiences; so real estate is a great fit for me. I also have had the greatest impact with the least amount of stress helping realtors increase their business by 10X-20X! And it was FUN for both the client and myself! 4. What problems do they have that I am able to solve with excitement? Answer: Attract awesome clients, close deals that provides profitable customer experiences, and have a life outside of work. 5. What makes me credible to coach these professionals? Answer: I have personally created 3 mastery realtor training programs that has created incredible success, I am a real estate investor, I am an expert marketer, I have personally sold over $300 million in products and services, I am a Tony Robbins certified coach as well as a student Chet Holmes, Brian Tracy, Brendon Burchard, and Trevor McGregor. 6. What processes am I committed to offering my client to help them get the results they need? I can easily be the best at my job because my focus is clearly aimed at my determined Avatar. I can always help anyone that is attracted to me even if it is a different industry. Honestly in business the same rules apply to all businesses, but for me to be truly winning I need to know exactly my needed outcome and who do I have to serve to win! So my advice to you is this, take a look at your business today and answer the questions I did. Then answer these questions after that so that you can really dive deep: • Who is your client? • Gender? • Married? • Children? • Do they own a car and what brand? • Age category? • Profession? • Hobbies? • Religion? • Where do they vacation? • Favorite colors? • Favorite brands? • Living location and style? • What problems do they have in business, personal, health, and finance? • Etc, etc, etc. know them intimately

I had no choice but to pick my Avatar for myself and become passionate about those people specifically.

Now you can see how knowing all of this, adds value right? Knowing all of this allows you to specifically design the product and service for the client, know where and how to market to them, and speak their language! To be honest, you would be amazed at how many huge companies have never thought of this, and they wonder why they can’t be attractive to anyone. Or they were clear at first, grew quickly, became off course and didn’t change with the trends, and now they are old news or obsolete. “It would be hard to pinpoint which come first, the avatar or the business idea itself,’ says Amanda. “I had been working for the conservative side of politics for around six-years and as a result of the rigidness and cookie cutter communication processes in place, my creative energy was not being put to good use.” “I was unhappy in politics, and even though it was a good opportunity at the time, leaving to pursue my own businesses was the logical next step.”

Before handing in her resignation in March 2017, Amanda had already developed the concept for Bavewear after struggling to find the perfect one-piece swimsuit online to match her personality. “I remember looking for a cute & sexy one-piece swimsuits with cool prints and when I couldn’t find it, I pitched the idea to my husband Nathan and together we jumped at the opportunity to fill the gap.” Despite warnings about the swimsuit marketing being oversaturated, Amanda and Nathan felt confident their customer avatar would embrace their designs, in turn becoming loyal fans. In developing the Bavewear customer avatar, Amanda knew exactly who they needed to target; the Amanda’s of the world! Women who work hard and want to play hard. Those who want to stand out, feel sexy but still leave something to the imagination. The brand targets grown-ups who want to escape the seriousness of adultiing to connect with their inner-child; the care-free dreamers, the part-time mermaids. The brands unique fabric designs, designed by Amanda and printed in Brisbane, Australia, each have their own unique story. For example, ‘Piggy B’ was inspired after visiting the swimming pigs in Exuma, Bahamas. Amanda could see the growing potential of the popularity of the pigs and wanted to start her own trend allowing women to swim with pigs, no matter where they were. “Its not just the designs which cater to our target avatar, the whole branding experience right through to the copywriting on the website is designed to attract and delight our customers,” says Amanda. “For example, the Birthday suit is described as being the only ‘birthday suit’ you can wear in public without being arrested and B-Rex promises to make our Baves ( favourite babes ) feel Roarsome.” The play on words, puns and jokes enhance each of the designs and provide the consumer with an overall brand experience that feels more like a friend than a business. “The whole process from the first idea through to the completion of the online store has taken more than two years to execute, said Amanda.” “We’ve set out to create something unique, that you cant get anywhere else. Today I Troy Aberle have been offered to write an article about a good friend and mentor of mine, Dana Derricks. He has really made an impact on my life and my company, and in this article, we will share with you how important his teachings are regarding your avatar. The reason I asked to do this article for Dana, is because my coaching business was confusing, wide targeted, and not attractive for people to really notice the benefits to learning more about me. Dana, hailing as the premier expert on the Dream 100 and author of 8 books, featured on Forbes, Inc., ABC, and more... has personally worked with over 1,000 entrepreneurs in his career and has directly been responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, while impacting millions of lives. He also is a worldfamous goat farmer. The Dream 100 program is something that many successful people use around the globe today and it really is a system that he has put his heart and soul in to perfecting. It originally was developed by Chet Holmes, who is someone that impacted both Dana and me immensely. Dana’s teaching of the Dream 100 is probably the single, most in depth program, that you could invest in which ensures you achieve success quickly. It literally makes learning fun and easy to start working at it right away. Whether you are an online entrepreneur or sell person to person, the actions taught by Dana are very helpful and will get you speaking to the people who will do business with you and or help promote you to the people who will.

Dana can really help you follow a process of actions that will help you define your ideal client, and have you position yourself to offering the product or service that they desperately need. To start my re-calibration, he had me do the following: • Create a list of niche markets that desperately need the skill/ knowledge I’ve chosen. • Choose ONE niche that I’ll absolutely dominate. • Plant my flag in the ground and become THE go-to expert on <my skill> What I WILL Have Done • Figured out and descriptively defined WHO my ideal, perfect avatar (customer/client) is • Figured out and descriptively defined WHO my ideal, perfect avatar (customer/client) is NOT • Defined my “why” and the bigger mission/purpose I’m serving • Gotten my “free marketing is the best marketing” Attractive Character nailed down What I Will NOT Have Done • Gotten lazy with or haphazardly breezed through building out my avatar, why, and Attractive Character • Put ALL of my focus on making money or on anything material, which goes against the real reason I’m doing this Next Action Steps • Define who my ideal, perfect avatar is (e.g., wealthy, 30–45 years old, female, married, etc.) • Define who my ideal, perfect avatar is NOT (e.g., broke, < 30 or > 45 years old, male, not married, etc.). • Finish the following sentence: I am helping <QUANTITY> <TITLE OF AVATAR> to <BENEFITS> by <WHAT I DO>. Here’s a sample of one that’s filled out: I am helping 500 pediatric dentists to improve their patient retention, satisfaction, and overall experience by providing immensely valuable and necessary training for their staff. • Put that on my wall right next to my workplace. • Brainstorm all the different parts of me that I could attach my- self to that help express who I am, make me different, and allow me to stand out, and that could be used as my Attractive Character (e.g., racing, sports, goats, colors, music). • Nail down my selection and absolutely OWN one of the options and use that as my Attractive Character. (My Attractive Character will be “everybody’s favorite goat farmer.”) What I WILL Have Done • Perfected a script to send to past customers/clients to build a database of testimonials • Reached out to all my past customers/clients What I Will NOT Have Done • Forgotten to feed my goats • Underestimated the value of social proof and testimonials, and how much easier this will make everything else we do.

Next Action Steps • Write out a list of ALL the people I’ve worked with in the past and gotten results for or helped out. • Craft a script that I’ll send to all of them to get a testimonial that I’ll use in my marketing moving forward. • Deploy this script Dana personally uses to every single person on my Dream 100 list: “Hey, <NAME>! It’s Troy. I have a small favor to ask...but it’s RE- ALLY important... I’m in the process of preparing to launch something super exciting and am in need of just a handful of success stories/reviews to highlight what some of my clients are experiencing. You were one of the first that came to mind. The testimonial doesn’t have to be anything crazy, just a video shot right on your phone is perfect! Or Just text me short paragraph. Just mention the following in your video: • Your backstory before you met me • A problem you encountered and how it made you feel, both externally and internally • The epiphany you had (ideally from me or some of my materials) • What you tried before that didn’t work • The new action(s) you took or plan to take • The end results you’ve seen or plan to see Would you do that for me?? It’d seriously brighten up my day!!

But regarding these 1st steps of defining your avatar (dream client) his methods work very well and provide the needed clarity for you to achieve results in sales. Regarding the testimonials from family and friends, I found it interesting to find out how many different things I have helped people with and how I have impacted them personally and professionally. It is amazing what you can learn about yourself by just asking for feedback. Dana teaches his students that knowing your avatar and how to serve them will bring you fun, satisfaction, and a journey of increased business. Lifetime DREAM CLIENTS! Alex Dee

I came back from that workshop and started to plan out who would be my ideal client. I asked myself who would I enjoy working with each day. And what type of results would I like to create for them that would make it fulfilling and help us build a relationship long term. I own an online academy that teaches people how to master a skill set where they can create an income online. So I began by choosing professionals who are looking to transition from the job space to owning their own online business! This is something I could speak to because that was my story. Going from $462 in my checking account to creating over $30 million online in less than 3 years and quitting my job was something I thought every professional should experience because of the freedom and control that comes with it. I became close friends with most of my clients because it was very fulfilling for me to see the transitions and seeing them quit their jobs and spend time doing what they loved! A second group of people I love to work with are students! I graduated with a big loan payment and got my hiring and firing slip from the dream corporate job in less than a week after I had gotten out of school! I knew what it was like to go to school and not have a clear future on how I was going to be able to make money once I got out of school. So this is the second group of individuals we targeted for our online academy because we could solve a big problem for them: Learning a skill set to make income now while they’re in school or after they graduate so they’re not contingent on a degree to provide them a sustainable living and they can plug into the online space which is something they’re already spending 5 hours a day on!

I’ve particularly enjoyed working with students! Part of it is I think I live vicariously through them as now I’m 44 and keep imagining what would it be like to have this knowledge in my 20s! And a third group of people I love to work with are stay at home moms! It makes no sense for a mom to have a job and put her baby into daycare where the entire income goes to paying off the daycare! And being raised by a single mom had shown me all the sacrifices she had to constantly make to provide a home for us. So to be able to see moms make income online from home and be there for their kids has been one of the most gratifying feelings in the world! And seeing the daily Facebook posts of them with their kids and taking them to school and going to their games brings forth that inner drive to continue doing what we do because it matters! The key to all this is I decided to focus on falling in love with my dream clients and serving them. Don’t sell more, serve more. And who do I serve? Those I enjoy working with and that bring more fulfillment to my life than just the income created for me by serving them. So start by creating a list of those who would be your dream clients! Who would you like to serve each day? Who would you enjoy spending time with? And even if you have a one-off product, between the referrals and other products you may offer your list, remember, people refer others that are just like them so you’re still working with the same type of people! So make sure it’s one that you enjoy working with long term! Hi, my name is Luke Aberle, the 10 year old boy who created Lukesview.com. The reason why I created lukesview.com was for a couple of reasons: 1. I wanted to announce my story and passion to the world and the career I want to build. I want to help people find a place to learn and be inspired. This also gives me a chance to do what I love and have a passion for which is researching and testing tech and outdoor products that everyone loves. “Where focus goes, energy flows”- Tony Robbins 2. I decided to start my own business and become an entrepreneur. And last year I thought of a neat idea, what if a ten year old boy reviewed the latest tech or camping gear to help people hear a point of view of a kid rather than the average adult review? Reviews always seem to come from adults on the things that we all love to buy and use, and I wanted to change that. Now I don’t save up my money for toys like most kids my age, I save it up my money for what mostly grown ups and tech YouTuber’s would save up for. I define my avatar or dream client as the adult who loves to learn about tech and outdoor products as much as I do. My dream client is someone who sees value in a product review or opinion that is coming from a young man who sees the world from an unbiased place. I am not influenced by money, government, or big businesses that invest in market domination. I don’t have the funds that adults have, so I am looking for value in products, not just popularity. So if I can be the connecting link between companies selling a product and the person looking for it, then I am doing good. If I am not clear

about who I am trying to help I would not be able to be interesting in this big world of information. I think that people need more options when looking for opinions. Let’s just say for example an average adult is searching Google for a pair of headphones they may want to buy. They look and look and they find reviews by grown ups who are consumed by big retail sponsors. And really that is the market, which is smothered by all of the different kinds of headphones reviewed by grown ups. Now they can come to lukesview.com and see an opinion from me on what I think works great too. I look at function, cost effectiveness, and ease of use. Adults are happy to hear my opinion because it often gives them that unbiased opinion with a different meaning. I also help resolve stress of giving advice on products that work as gifts for other kids in my age group.
