Co-hosted by Tourism Western Australia (Tourism WA) and Business Events Perth (BEPerth), the China Dream WA Roadshow 2026 marks the long-awaited return of this signature event for China market. It offers Western Australian tourism operators an exceptional opportunity to re-engage with the Chinese market, gain valuable insights, and connect directly with key distribution partners in the region.
This refreshed format will span across two key cities—Guangzhou and Shanghai—from Monday, 23 March to Friday, 27 March 2026, providing a dynamic platform to showcase Western Australia’s dream-like tourism experiences and strengthen ties with the State’s most valuable visitor market.
ROADSHOW OBJECTIVES
Increase awareness of Western Australia as a premium destination for both leisure travel and business events through a united Team WA approach.
Equip the WA tourism industry with insights into evolving market dynamics, including changing consumer sentiment, travel behaviours, and the reshaping of China’s distribution channels.
Provide a dedicated platform for Western Australian operators to engage with key distribution partners in China and showcase their products and services.
Build momentum within the China travel industry to support the restoration and growth of direct aviation access to Western Australia.
Generate engagement and/or business leads and drive tangible conversions to strengthen inbound visitation from China.
Gala dinner event with travel trade, trade media, corporate client and airline partners.

SELECTION CRITERIA
The China Roadshow is expected to be a highly sought-after trade event for the WA tourism industry, and strict eligibility criteria will apply.
All registrations will be subject to approval to ensure applicants meet the required criteria. A joint panel from Tourism WA and BE Perth (TWA/BEP) will assess applications and determine acceptance.
If the number of eligible companies exceeds available places, the panel will prioritise those deemed most suitable for the market, based on the selection criteria outlined below. The panel reserves the right to make the final determination on product participation, and all decisions will be final.
Product must meet and demonstrate the following criteria:
• Is a distribution- and exportready tourism product, such as accommodation, visitor attraction, tour or activity provider, business events venue, or tourism transport operator.
• Is currently distributed by Chinese trade partners or are able to activate immediate business opportunities with China-based partners.
• Offers commissionable products with appropriate commission levels for Chinese distributors.
• Can provide evidence of active engagement in the China market, which may include one or more of the following:
» Participation in relevant tourism trade events (e.g. Tourism WA Greater China Travel Mission, Australia Marketplace China, Nihao WA, BE Rewarded, ATE, Dreamtime, Corroboree Asia, ATEC Meeting Place).
» Financial or in-kind support of Tourism WA or Business Events Perth familiarisation activities.
» Development of marketing collateral tailored for the China market (e.g. brochures, factsheets, online content, Chinese social media presence).
• Have been identified as part of Tourism WA’s Dream Collective.
• Must abide by all terms and conditions, including code of conduct.
Additional requirements:
• Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs) must hold Approved Destination Status (ADS) or must be Business Events Perth financial member at the time of application submission.
• National operators or multistate products must not promote destinations/products outside of Western Australia; all promotion must focus exclusively on WA products.

International Flights
Participants are responsible for booking their own international flights to and from China. Tourism WA and Business Events Perth will provide recommended flights following acceptance of registration.
Interpreters
Tourism WA can arrange interpreters for the workshops. The total cost is AUD 800 (ex GST) for both workshops. Please indicate on your registration if you require this service.
China Visa
Until 31 December 2025, Australian citizens holding ordinary passports travelling to China for business, tourism, family visits, transit, or exchange purposes—with a single

Travel Insurance
All participants are responsible for obtaining personal travel and health insurance. Coverage is strongly recommended to include COVID-19, public and product liability, workers’ compensation, and property insurance for the duration of the roadshow. Participants are advised to secure insurance prior to departure.

By submitting this EOI, you acknowledge that each attending delegate accepts the following TWA/BEP Cooperative Trade Activity Terms & Conditions.
DEFINITIONS
In these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) unless the context otherwise requires:
Activity means a famil, showcase, site inspection, sales mission, roadshow, event, exhibition or trade show.
The organisation means TWA/BEP.
1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
a. You acknowledge that, your participation in the Activity may expose you to the risk of damage, loss or harm. You will not hold TWA/BEP responsible for any damage, loss or harm that occurs as a consequence of participation in the Activity.
2. NO LEGAL RELATIONSHIP
a. Nothing in these T&Cs shall imply the creation of any legal relationship between you and TWA/BEP.
b. No party has the authority to make any representation or warrant or incur any obligation or liability on behalf of the other party, no indemnity, nor shall they make any representation to any third party.
c. TWA/BEP shall not have any responsibility or liability for the success or otherwise of the Activity. TWA/BEP shall not be liable for any losses suffered by an applicant in attending, or arising from, or in connection with the Activity.
3. ACTIVITY OBLIGATIONS
a. You are responsible for the arrangements and costs of your own travel, including but not limited to airfares, visas, insurance, accommodation, transport, tours and meals. Refer to communications for the
Activity for a comprehensive list of the program’s inclusions and exclusions.
b. You are responsible for arranging your own travel insurance.
c. You are responsible for familiarising yourself with, and abiding by, all relevant laws, and health and vaccination requirements in the host destination.
d. You must review and / or attend relevant briefing information prior to the Activity, as notified by TWA/BEP.
e. You must participate in all events attached to the Activity, unless discussed and agreed upon in advance with the relevant organisation contact.
f. If requested by TWA/BEP, all attendees agree to participate in a formal evaluation of the Activity conducted by TWA/BEP or its agents.
4. CODE OF CONDUCT
a. You must conduct yourself in a professional manner having regard to the intent of the Activity.
b. You must act ethically and with integrity when engaged in all activities associated with the Activity.
c. Maintain professional, respectful and positive behaviours and habits throughout the Activity.
d. Treat colleagues and the public with respect and courtesy.
e. When travelling maintain behaviour in accordance with local customs.
f. At all times, give due regard to others considering their interests, rights, cultural protocols, safety and welfare.
g. Ensure that your capacity to engage with the Activity is not impaired by the use of alcohol or drugs.
h. Breach of the Code of Conduct may result in the withdrawal of your participation in this Activity and future engagements with TWA/BEP, with a formal review to follow.
i. As a result of any breach, any financial reimbursement or part thereof will be
assessed at the discretion of TWA/BEP.
5.
PROGRAM CHANGES (FOR ACTIVITIES ORGANISED BY TWA/BEP)
a. TWA/BEP reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel, postpone or modify the Activity program without any liability to TWA/BEP, including reimbursement or part thereof at the discretion of TWA/BEP.
6.
EXTERNALLY ORGANISED ACTIVITIES (FOR ACTIVITIES ORGANISED BY ENTITIES THAT ARE NOT TWA/BEP)
a. You acknowledge that you will be subject to the T&C’s of the external organiser, and the Code of Conduct stated in clause 4.
b. Participation in externally organised activities is subject to the discretion of the external organiser.
7. PROMOTION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
a. TWA/BEP reserves the right to publicise the outcomes as a result of the applicant participating in the Activity.
b. If requested by TWA/BEP, the applicant must acknowledge the support provided by TWA/BEP in any relevant publicity undertaken by the applicant.
8. PRIVACY
a. By participating in this Activity, you agree to your personal information being collected by TWA/BEP.
b. TWA/BEP may also use or disclose your personal information for a purpose related to that for which it was collected, including communications about future events of a similar nature to the Activity.
c. The applicant consents to the collection and disclosure of their personal information by TWA/BEP and any online platform use in connection with the Activity, and declares that they are authorised to provide the personal
information of third parties where applicable.
d. Your personal information will at all times be dealt with in accordance with the applicable legislation in Western Australia and consistent with any legal obligation, including legal obligations in the Privacy Act 1988, Freedom of Information Act 1992, and Financial Management Act 2006.
e. You may request to delete this information from our store at any time by contacting tmckay@beperth.com.
9. TRAVEL INSURANCE
a. You are responsible for arranging your own travel insurance.
b. TWA/BEP is not itself a tour operator, travel agent, carrier or hotelier, nor do we own aircraft, hotels or coaches. We exercise reasonable care in the selection of reputable tour operators, travel agents, airlines, coach operators, hotels, cruise line operators, and other suppliers of services.
c. It is important to note, therefore, that all bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by tour operators, travel agents, airlines, coach operators, hoteliers and other service providers including but not limited to shipping, rail, car hire and restaurant operators, whose services are utilised, some of which limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage.
10. TALENT RELEASE
a. I agree that during my involvement in the Activity, TWA/BEP or its authorised agents or contractors may film and record me.
b. TWA/BEP is solely and absolutely entitled to copyright in all material taken during photographic shoots on this visit. c. TWA/BEP, or its authorised agents

or contractors, may use any of the images and footage to promote and/or advertise Western Australia as a business events / travel destination in any media, including videos, printed materials, etc, in perpetuity in any country in the world without payment to me and without my consent.
d. TWA/BEP retains the right to edit, modify, re-use, sell or distribute any images or footage it may desire, subject to the above conditions.
11. RISK WARNING & LIABILITY RELEASE
a. As a participant in this Activity, I understand that I may be exposing myself to a risk of harm or injury.
b. I understand that TWA/BEP will take all possible care for my well-being and that whilst I am participating in this visit, TWA/ BEP staff will make every reasonable effort to minimise exposure to known risks. However, I also understand I have a personal responsibility to follow general safety measures.
c. I accept full responsibility for my own safety and well-being and I agree that if I suffer injury or illness, TWA/BEP can, at my cost, arrange medical attention.
d. I agree to indemnify TWA/BEP against all losses, expenses, damages and costs incurred by or awarded against TWA/ BEP as a result of death or injury or loss of or damage to property caused by, or contributed to, me in connection with this visit.
e. I voluntarily agree to release and hold harmless TWA/BEP, its officers, directors, managers, employees, agents or contractors of TWA/BEP for any damage or injuries, physical or mental, which I might incur as a result of my voluntary decision to participate in activities coordinated by TWA/BEP. If any part of this agreement is invalid, or unenforceable in a particular
jurisdiction that part shall apply only to the extent lawfully possible or shall be excluded from the agreement in that jurisdiction but only to the extent of the invalidity or unenforceability, and it does not affect the validity or enforceability of that provision in another jurisdiction or the remaining provisions in any jurisdiction.
f. I acknowledge that I will be responsible for all expenses incurred by me including meals (if not listed in the Activity), transfers (if not listed in the itinerary), activities (if not listed in the itinerary), laundry charges, room service & minibar purchases, telephone calls, spending money, incidental purchases and all other ancillary expenses.
