Know Different Types Of Thermoforming Process and Advantages The thermoforming is a technical process which is used in the manufacturing of different plastic products from the plastic sheet. In this process the temperature of the plastic sheet increase to bend, mold and trimmed in different shape & size of usable products. The thermoforming process is a different type and the benefits are also of a broad category. The two most popular thermoforming processes are using by the thermoforming company are the vacuum forming and the pressure forming. Vacuum forming process: This the simplest form of the thermoforming process. In this process, the plastic sheet is heated to mold the sheet by stretching and prepare different types of usable products. The inner space of these products is full of vacuum so the process is called the vacuum forming. This process is widely used by the USA thermoforming company. Technically the vacuum forming products are having uneven wall thickness. This process is very useful for those types of plastic products where the importance of the wall thickness is negligible. The plastic products made with this process are very cheap and easy to manufacture these. Pressure Forming: Pressure forming method is a commercial method of plastic products manufacturing. The thermoforming company loves this method due to its cost-effective production. In the method, the high pressure is used to stretch the plastic sheet to mold it in a different shape. The uniform pressure creates the product uniformly shaped and the wall thickness is even all around the products. The cooling time is lower in pressure forming compare to the vacuum forming as the vacuum forming used temperature to stretch the plastic sheet whereas the pressure forming use pressure for the same. The pressure forming plastic products are very solid and strong compared to the vacuum forming materials. Thus the pressure forming materials are better than the vacuum forming. The pressure forming method is generally produced by the plastic materials quickly. Due to this property, it can be used in the manufacturing of commercial products in bulk. The USA thermoforming company highly depends on this method.

Another difference is there between the pressure forming and vacuum forming method is the thickness of the plastic sheet used to make products. It is generally 0.060 inches in case of vacuum forming which is 0.120 in case of the pressure forming method. No matter which process is being used the process of thermoforming itself a very costly process. But, it is gaining its popularity for the manufacturing of the high-quality plastic products and the key points is the availability of plastic materials in different shape, size, and colors.
