The Career Center delivers unparalleled customer service through responsive staff, sophisticated software,

and career advisors who work closely with academic colleges. Since 2000, the Career Center has coordinated

nearly 200,000 interviews for some 6,600 employers. During this same period, we processed over 1.2 million resume submissions for over 61,000 students. We are

eager for these numbers to increase as more students take advantage of Career Center resources. ▀

Campus Recruiting & Job Postings - Using the HireAggies system, upload and send resumes, sign up for on-campus interviews, access specific contact information for each company, and RSVP online for employer events. Get your resume in the hands of hundreds of employers who recruit and interview Aggies every day. AggiE-folio - Showcase your knowledge, skills, and achievements by creating your online portfolio. AggiE-folio allows you to collect, organize, and store your information without having to build a web page. Career Beam - Follow an easy step-by-step approach in making career decisions and in searching for employment. CareerShift - View job listings and contact information for thousands of companies worldwide and use job search management tools. SIGI3 (“siggy three”) - An online tool that integrates self-assessment with in-depth occupational information. Perfect Interview - Participate in virtual practice interviews on this system that includes over 1,500 interview questions, answers, and an interview tutorial. To schedule a Perfect Interview session in the Career Center, email PerfectInterview@careercenter.tamu.edu. Vault - An online Career Library consisting of guides to various employers, industry overviews, employer profiles, and salary information. CareerSearch - A database that includes over four million potential employers with contact names, addresses, phone numbers, and a variety of company background information. Internships USA and Internships.com - Search national internships and browse by location or category. Going Global - Provides country-specific career and employment information, including world-wide internship and job postings, H1B employer listings, corporate profiles, and career resources for 30 countries. WetFeet.com - Includes corporate and industry profiles, links to job listings, salary information, profiles of working professionals, and numerous career advice articles. Washington Information Directory 2008-2009 (WID) - With over 10,000 listings, it’s your one-stop source for information on US governmental and non-governmental organizations. Eco Jobs - Lists domestic (by state) and international jobs, both full-time and internships. Positions include environmental advocacy and policy, science and engineering, health and safety and renewable energy.


Quick Online Registration Steps 

Go to the Career Center’s website (http://HireAggies.com) and select Current Students. Enter your NetID and password to enter the Secured Student portion of the site.

Click the Find Jobs button to access the online recruiting system, HireAggies.

The first time you click Find Jobs, please complete the following steps. o Enter your profile data, including your personal and academic information, as well as your privacy settings. o Carefully read the Terms and Usage information on the academic profile page and enter your initials. When you are ready to add your resume, click on the Documents header. You may also upload additional documents such as cover letters, unofficial transcripts, writing samples and other documents. You can upload a maximum of 20 documents into the system. o To upload - click on the Add New button. o If you are uploading a document file (e.g., “*.doc”), the system will convert the document to pdf. Alternatively, you can upload a “.pdf” directly to the system. o The Make Default button designates a main resume that will be the first option when submitting a resume to employers. o View helpful documents uploaded by your administrator in the Document Library tab.

Use the HireAggies User Guide in the Documents Library, as well as the video tutorials and help files on the tab rows throughout the system whenever you need more information.

HireAggies is an interactive system that requires you to be very proactive in your job search activity. To be successful in securing a Full-time, Co-op or Internship position, click on the Jobs header and select HireAggies Jobs. Students may submit resumes to both on-campus recruiting (OCR) job postings and non-OCR job listings. Additionally, students may set Search Agents to schedule automated job searches with email alerts. o View job postings by clicking on the Job Postings tab from the top navigation bar. Sort the job list by a variety of search filters (i.e. Position Type, Industry) located under the dropdown menus at the top. Find a specific job by inputting details into the Keywords box on the top left, and then clicking the Search button. o From the Advanced Search tab, refine the job list by utilizing Keywords, Majors, Work Authorization, Locations, Position Types, etc. and clicking the Submit button. o New job postings are added throughout the semester so check your account regularly. View all submitted job applications by clicking on the Applications tab.
