Think Burpees are beyond your limits?

The benefits of exercise far outweigh the risks but there are some guidelines to avoid injury or strain. Good exercise is the amount and intensity that suits your level of strength, flexibility

and fitness. Muscles and joints need to be strengthened and stretched slowly so any new exercise should start at an easy level and progress from there. Some muscle soreness is normal with new exercise but it’s important to modify according to limitations.

Based at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and in partnership with this leading cancer facility, the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation is a charity dedicated to increasing awareness and supporting women with breast cancer.

Started 25 years ago by a group of passionate doctors, surgeons and advocates, the SBCF has been committed to supporting patients by providing much needed financial support in the way of Research, the SBCF National Surgical Fellowship, and community awareness programs. The Foundation also provides support on a day-to-day basis directly to patients by way of: Breast Care Nurses, State-of-the-Art equipment, Hardship funding, and additional Patient Support programs within the hospital and the wider community. The SBCF is 100% selffunded.

The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse comprehensive cancer hospital is a world class, not-for-profit integrated and patient-focused centre of excellence. Its’ Breast Unit is one of Australia’s leading breast cancer facilities.
