Soon afterwards, CW opened his own Service Station. Later, CW started his first Chevrolet dealership in Pageland on July 15, 1923.
Next, CW bought Ellison Chevrolet in Lancaster, SC with a partner, Mr. W. H. Cato, on March 29, 1927, named Burns & Cato, Inc. CW bought out Mr. Cato’s shares for $5,250 on February 5, 1930.
