The city of Santa Ana is facing a significant challenge in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite being home to many talented individuals in various fields, the city lacks the necessary publicity channel to showcase and promote this talent effectively. The disconnect caused by the pandemic has limited opportunities for local artists, professionals, and entrepreneurs to gain recognition and reach a wider audience. Many artists lack the resources to share their stories and connect with a global audience, hindering their success in the digital age.

Santa Ana needs a public platform, and one promising solution is to establish a LIVE VIDEO PODCAST that can serve as a dynamic and interactive medium for showcasing local talent, connecting the city with the world, and providing opportunities for growth and collaboration.

In this age of social media, while a picture can say a thousand words, a podcast has the power to say much more.

My mission is to expose emerging artists based in Santa Ana and showcase their talents for the world to see. I also want to teach emerging artists how to make their dreams come true by giving them advice from artists who have already made it.

I live in the Santa Ana Arts Collective apartment complex so I have an array of all different kinds of artists to choose from to interview for a podcast that I plan on creating. I want to be able to give artists a space to feel heard and seen. A lot of us have impactful stories of perseverance and struggles that made us who we are today and I think that should be celebrated and recognized.

Instagram is a powerful tool for promoting untold stories of artists

To inject fun into my project, I'm introducing an element of "Participatory/Interactive Art" through an exciting podcast series called "Find Me in the City." In this engaging endeavor, I'll be hiding CDs or copies of artwork created by the artists I interview throughout Santa Ana. Viewers will have a blast hunting for these hidden treasures. Additionally, I'll be hosting lively Q&A sessions, allowing our audience to ask personalized questions and hear firsthand from our talented artists. Get ready for a thrilling and interactive artistic experience!

I will have an overall theme of teaching aspiring artists of all kinds how to succeed in any industry they want to work in. Paired with stories of resilience to teach life skills and work skills. For example I know successful painters who held their own businesses, photographers who work in the fashion industry and people who have gone through divorce and came out stronger in the end that I will interview.

I am committed to giving back to the community that supports me. In order to provide assistance to the people in Santa Ana, I plan to raise donations through my podcast and personal social media channels. The funds raised will be used to provide computers or cell phones to individuals, enabling them not only to listen to the podcast but also to explore and pursue their passions through technology. I firmly believe that the vastness of the internet offers an valuable source of knowledge, serving as a powerful tool for education, employment, and self-discovery.

To create a professional-sounding podcast, we'll need microphones, headphones, a mixer, and recording software. Estimated cost: $5,000.

I used to work in a mental health recovery home as a Client Coordinator. I would play my guitar and sing my songs for the clients there. I remember the way it would brighten their faces up and then I knew even more so that I needed to give back to society with my art.

I find this a very important project that I want to start and I need the funds to complete this journey. I will get more funds from other grants too and save up money on my own for certain objects if funds lack. Overall, it would help so much to get all I need so I can give back fully to Santa Ana.

In the future I always plan on being based in Santa Ana and bringing people from all over California to visit Santa Ana as a hub for artistic entertainment by networking with other podcasts and visiting other artistic areas.

My goal is to attract maximum attention to our podcast from people worldwide who are interested in its messages, with the overarching intention of giving back to the Santa Ana community.

Through our podcast, we aim to raise awareness and support for our initiative of donating computers and phones to those in need, ensuring that everyone has access to technology and its benefits.
