Barbara L. Hopkins

Barbara Louise Hopkins, 88, T Troy, MO, formerly of Webster, p passed away Sunday night, J July 3, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospittal West in Lake St. Louis, MO. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday July 20, 2016 w with a meal to follow at First B Baptist Church of Webster. R Rev. Tim Quinn, church pastor, w will officiate. Born December 11, 1927 in G Gladstone, MO, she was the daughter of Guy W. and Mary Louis Wolfe Clardy. Barbara was united in marriage May 1944 in Denver, CO to Daniel William Hopkins of Webster. This union was blessed with daughters Vicky, Melissa and Carolyn. Barbara was a loving homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elsberry, MO. Survivors include her daughters, Vicky Penland, Lenexa, KS; Melissa Throgmorton and her husband, John, Troy MO; and Carolyn Hopkins, Webster; grandchildren, Christopher Penland, Eric Maytas, Travis Moser and Jennifer Penland; and great grandchildren, Evan Moser, Lilly Moser, Ariana Maytas and Elias Moser; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Louise Clardy; a sister, Carol Hanks; a brother, Guy Clardy; and her beloved husband, Daniel Hopkins, who died in November 1993. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alz.org.

Dewayne “Dewey” Markes Dewayne “Dewey” Markes, a age 89, of Richfield, MN, lifellong summer resident of Webb L Lake, passed away on June 23, 22016 at his home surrounded by h his loving family. A Graveside Service will be a at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 22016 at Webb Lake Cemetery w with Pastor Bill Schroeder of L Lakeside Community Church o officiating. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Phyllis; sons Larry (Mary) and Steven (Terre); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; along with several cousins. Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Paul Markes.

Harold J. “Bud” Boettger Harold John “Bud” Boettger, age 87, of Webster, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16, 2016. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (LCMS), Webster, with Pastor Jody R. Walter officiating. Burglary of Building/Dwelling • Jose M. Chavarria, 23, Siren, pleaded no contest and was fined $3,268, which includes restitution.

Theft • Jose M. Chavarria, 23, Siren, pleaded guilty to four counts and was fined a total of $3.394.11.

Felony Bail Jumping • Jose M. Chavarria, 23, Siren, pleaded guilty, was sentenced to 12 months in prison followed by 24 months of extended supervision and was fined $518.

Criminal Damage to Property • Jose M. Chavarria, 23, Siren, pleaded guilty and was fined $443.

Disorderly Conduct • Patrick A. Decorah, 45, Webster, pleaded no contest and was fined $500, which includes restitution.

Possession of a Controlled Substance • Emily R. Schlecht, 17, pleaded no contest and was fined $185.

GRANTSBURG G A S G POLICE O C • July 5, the Sinclair gas station reported a $30 gas drive-off. • July 6, Donna Saenger, 29, Grantsburg, pulled out from Harmon Ave. into the path of a Federal Express delivery truck. The vehicles collided. No injuries were reported.

ST. CROIX TRIBAL POLICE

• Gregory Snyder, 53, Hertel, was arrested for operating after revocation. • July 11, Megale Taylor, 46, Wisconsin Rapids, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. • July 16, Jack Holmes, 33, Danbury, was arrested for theft.

SIREN POLICE

• July 12, Anthony Evans, 22, Frederic, was cited for theft. • July 13, the Holiday North gas station reported the theft of a 12-pack of beer.
