Being the 31st President of the Rotaract Club of R.V.C.E. Bangalore, I feel a great sense of pride as I address the readers of RI District 3201.. “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” This quote given by Andrew Carnegie truly depicts the cooperation between two clubs. So, I really want to thank Rotaract Club of Coimbatore CACIL R.I. District 3201, for doing this joint bulletin with us, spreading both of our intentions publicly can truly be beneficial for all. It’s obvious people get more motivated when they hear more voices on a topic. Therefore, I hope all the readers will be exhilarated for doing something valuable for the society after reading this bulletin. Rotaract Club of R.V.C.E in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Coimbatore CACIL and a few other Rotaract Clubs across Mumbai, Coimbatore and Bangalore fed more than 400 people in the event Niavedyam, a food donation drive. It was held on the 16th of October,2022 as the whole world celebrates International Food Day on that date.
The drive was organised for homeless people on the streets of Koramangala and other nearby areas. It was a wonderful experience for everyone and many experienced heart-touching moments on seeing the joy on the little children’s faces when they were being given their meal packets.
Four rotaractors, Rtr. Susheel Kumar from RaC Golden Rock, Rtr. Bharathi Mani from RaC Bengaluru Kempegowda, Rtr. Sharavana from RaC United and Rtr. Tanmay Patil from RaC R.V.C.E were part of the IDYE of Rotaract District 3201 from 3190. The day started off with breakfast on the 15th of July at Annapoorna with our co-host RaC Texcity. We left for Isha Yoga Foundation from there, it was a pleasant drive until we neared Isha after which it started drizzling. Further we went to the Adiyogi statue first, which we were very much excited to see and took pictures of but ended up creating more memories in the rain. We had to wait for a while under a shelter until it stopped raining but that didn’t stop us from having more conversations about ourselves.
Then we walked to Dhyanalinga where we meditated for 15 mins and then walked back to the car. From there we went for lunch and talked about the differences in food and discussed the best places to eat in both cities. After resting for a while, we went to Valankulam lake in the evening and walked for a while, took photos, and talked about our experiences in Rotaract with Rtr. Thanghapanteyan who joined us there. From there we went for dinner at then famous Periyanayaki Hotel. We said our goodbyes and winded up for the day. This was an experience of a lifetime where I got to make new friends, be a part of their journey, and share new experiences with them. I also look forward to more IDYE’s giving me a chance to network with more people.
