Buk dnon State University greeted the second semester of 2023-2024 with a week-long virtual cascading of policies of the university’s four-fold funct ons: instruction, research, extension and production.
The week-long orientation reiterated the approved academic pol cies and updated the students on the priority and processes of the university s key offices
BukSU retained the Hyflex Learning System, slating 75% face-to-face and 25% flex ble learning for undergraduate programs nstruct onal time The same schedule implementat on is outlined for the graduate programs and the College of Law


Bukidnon State University (BukSU) off cially launched its brand logo during the President’s Day on February 14, 2024, at the BukSU Mini Theater.

The brand logo, designed by senior Informat on Technology student Mr John Dexter M Gamo, will serve as the primary visual representation of the university s public relations and community engagement efforts
In the logo, the colors red yellow, and black patterned as beads in the b-u-k letters paid homage to Bukidnon s rich cultural heritage These color comb nations not only celebrated the un que cultural identity of Bukidnon but also emphasized the unity in the community s diversity It showcased BukSU as a place where diverse cultural backgrounds unite to create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment

Through the Off ce of the President Buk dnon State University soft-launched the SMART BukSU Analytics D today as part of BukSU s breakthrough The Dashboard, programmed by the Bukidnon State Univers ty- Inform Communication Technology Services Unit (BukSU-ICTSU), claimed to be a powerful tool to assist the un facilitating informed decision-making.

Bukidnon State University crafted with the public n the creation of the College of Medicine’s (COM) Vis on, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO) through a multi-stakeholder’s consultation held on March 14, 2024 at the BukSU Mini-Theater, spearheaded by the BukSU s Medical Education Special st, Dr Ruth Beltran, together w th the BukSU COM Technical Working Group (TWG)

The event was attended by the top management of BukSU with both onsite and real-time online consulataion by several agencies attended by the Commission on Higher Education Region X (CHEDX), Department of Health X (DOH-X), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Nat onal Economic Development Authority (NEDA), medical professionals, students and representatives from the Local Government Units (LGU) and Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities to mention a few

Bukidnon State University evaluated its performance in 2023 through a management review held on February 5, 2024, v a virtual meet ng platform. The management review was attended by the top management and enjoined by heads of the satellite campuses, and office/unit heads in all its campuses.

Futures Think ng is a strategic approach to cons der ng future scenarios and defining the most preferable ones for people and soc ety According to ADII, future thinking “happens as a result of decisions, act ons, and issues occurring n the present It includes all the future scenarios that are likely to happen to make the best choices for everyone nvolved, which is known as the preferred future ”

More than 100 students from the province of Bukidnon were recipients of financ al support from both the Commiss on on Higher Education (CHED) and the office of Bukidnon s Second Congressional District
The disbursement took place at Bukidnon State University (BukSU) on January 25, 2024, where each benef ciary of the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition grant rece ved a check amounting to P25,000.
Out of the 130 grant rec p ents, 61 are students from BukSU. “We recognize the government’s commitment to investing in higher education Your support has empowered us to continue our pursuit of academ c excellence and alleviated some of the financial burdens our students and their famil es face,” said BukSU Pres dent Dr. Joy M. Mirasol.

Buk dnon State Un versity (BukSU) offic als addressed issues and concerns raised by various community sectors during the public scoping session conducted by the Department of Env ronment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau Region X (DENR-EMB) on February 13, 2024, at the BukSU Mini Theater.
Partic pants during the public scoping included representatives from the nat onal government agencies, the City Government of Malaybalay City, barangay officials, representat ves from non-government organ zations, and members of the religious and economic sectors. Among the issues raised were the impact of the university s projects on the Sawaga River, traffic congestion, and the potential resettlement of affected residents w thin the project areas.
Th s public scoping sess on is a mandatory step for BukSU as stated in the DENR Administrative Order No 30 Series of 2003, to obtain the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC)
BukSU is n the process of securing an ECC for the Main, Annex A, and Annex B campuses, all located in Malaybalay City The ECC serves as univers ty s commitment in upholding environmental regulations and n implementing the best environmental practices n its operations




The College of Law (COL) at Bukidnon State University (BukSU) is set to move to its new home at the Annex A Campus in Cas sang, Malaybalay City
The groundbreaking ceremony at the site took place on March 1, 2024, with the presence of BukSU President Dr Joy M Mirasol, Vice President for Adm nistration and Finance Mr Dante S Victoria Jr, and COL Dean Atty Ophelia P lar E Rubio-Zamora
Established in 2002, the COL currently operates from the former College of Business Admin stration and Information Technology build ng on the main campus
The project initially proposed by former COL Dean Atty Sherry Mae Velos-Decang, received funding assistance from Buk dnon 1st District Representative Hon Atty Jonathan Keith T Flores

According to Department of Public Works and Highways-Bukidnon 1st District Engineer Flordelis C Enriquez, construction of the project w ll commence after the groundbreaking ceremony The P19 6 million project will include a library, mock courtroom, faculty rooms, and smart classrooms, expected to be used next year

The PNSA Days is an annual event that celebrates camaraderie and healthy competition among nurs ng students in the province The Sports Event includes basketball, volleyball swimming, table tennis, lawn tennis, chess, and electron c games
After a hiatus s nce 2020 due to the challenges posed by COVID-19 the PNSA Days rekindled the spirit of sportsmanship in the nurs ng commun ty

The month-long activities included Quiz Bee, Word Chain Challenge Poem Recitations, Oratorical Speech and Declamation contests, Story Read ng and Tell ng competition, and English Vocal Solo Competition During the “English Extravaganza” activ ty on February 7, each class from Kindergarten to Grade 6 presented various literary performances, such as class c ch ldren s rhymes, jazz chants, verse choir, and interpretative musical plays

Pajantoy Affectionately referred to as Mommy Lucy by both students and colleagues, she s known for her expertise n culinary and home economics (HE) at the Secondary School Laboratory (SSL) Mommy Lucy s service at the SSL extended for more than a decade, from 2007 to 2023 Before her t me at BukSU, she was associated with the Department of Education Beyond her role as a dedicated HE teacher, Mommy Lucy’s influence extends nto the community as a faculty extens onist of the un versity, particularly reaching out to mothers in the outskirts of the province She takes pride in being a mother of three children, all of whom have pursued careers in the medical field
Dr. Estela C Itaas In the long history of BukSU, Dr Itaas, or ‘Maam Telay, holds the dist nct on of being the first declared Univers ty Professor Over her 41 years of service, she has served various roles in the university, rang ng from Instruction as a professor to holding the position of Vice President for Academ c Affairs, and as the Graduate School coordinator until her retirement Addit onally, in the field of Research and Extension, Maam Telay is one of the faculty members who sailed through the waves of challenges in fulfilling CHED’s requ rements back when research and extension were still in its infancy
