Welcome to Important Timepieces The auction for collectible and unique watches It’s a pleasure to finally present this catalogue to our esteemed clients who have great insight into the segment and are looking for specific collector watches and watches with high quality movement. We are looking forward to the auction and seeing these watches find new owners to appreciate them. The highlights of the auction meet the leading trends in the world of watches. A new trend among collectors is the search for watches with great quality of the movement by less exclusive or well-known brands. Examples include the Certina chronograph with Valjoux caliber 72 which is the same movement that the early Rolex Daytonas are based on, and the Innovative Jaquet Droz, Grande Seconde. Another growing trend is the interest for smaller men’s watches of which a Patek Philippe Calatrava is a perfect example. One of the many highlights of the auction is the Rolex Daytona 6239, the first reference of Rolex Daytona, where the original 60/300 2nd generation bezel makes the watch extra special and sought after. The stars of the auction are two iconic examples of the Omega Speedmaster 2915–1. The watches have an estimate of 900 000 SEK and 350 000 SEK respectively. Bukowskis finest specimen and the top lot in the auction has everything one can wish for in a Speedmaster 2915-1 and it is the most prestigious watch to ever be sold at a Bukowskis auction. The original Broad Arrow hands, a clean case back without the seahorse inscription, the original base 1000 tachymeter scale on the steel bezel, the oval ”O” in Omega and a correct 7077/6 steel bracelet makes the watch one of the most sought after in the world of watch collectors. The fact that two watches from the first series of Omega Speedmaster 2915-1 are sold at the same auction is wonderfully thrilling and will most likely not happen again very soon.
