From June to November isn't very long, as the shifting sands of time tell us, but it was long enough for an energetic Tahoe Millwork Company staff to build a solid dealer organization of 83 outlets for the Morgan woodwork line it distributes in California. Starting from scratch, Tahoe has moulded a hustling retail marketing organization in amazingly short time.

Bruce \Malton, Jr., is president, and Henry M. Alsaker is general manager of the two Tahoe organizations : Tahoe Forest Products Company and its subsidiary, Tahoe Millrvork Company. Kenneth D. Gordon is sales manager of Tahoe Millwork Co.

Mr. Alsaker states that a superior product, plus a wellorganized and integrated sales promotion program, have had a major share in quick dealer acceptance.

"Our complete line of Morgan Woodwork fills an important need for most retail lumber dealers," Mr. Alsaker declares. "It gives them a high-quality woodwork line that is competitively priced. And even more important, it backs them up with a great volume of colorful merchandising and sales promotion material that makes selling easier.

"Included in the merchandising material made available to our dealers are full color counter cards, kitchen planning kits, showroom displays, colorful folders and booklets, ad mats, as well as one of the industry's most complete and beautiful catalogs," he added. The Morgan catalbg is 350 pages, mostly in color, and dealers declare it is a powerful selling tool.

Tahoe maintains close liaison with its dealers by holding frequent sales meetings at the main office and warehouse in West Sacramento. One such meeting was held in October, and top sales and merchandising executives of the Nlorgan Company attended and helped present the dealer sales orientation program. More than 150 dealers, architects, builders and contractors attended last month's week-long meetings.

Meetings are held in the large display room at the Tahoe warehouse. The display features two kitchen exhibits, as rvell as folding doors, louvered doors, entrances and other products distributed by the firm. The display room is available to all Tahoe dealers for showing Morgan products to tl-reir prospects.

The Tahoe headquarters are strategically located on Highways 40 and 99, principal routes radiating from Sacramento. It is just a few minutes from downtown Sacramento on the busy highway to San Francisco. The main office building, containing the display room and warehouse, is lo-
