H. Rector has been aPPointed assistant merchandise manager of the roofing and allied Products department of The Celotex Corporation, it was announced todaY by Fred W. Lagerquist, dePartment manager.

Well known in the building materials industry, in which he has spent most of his business life, Mr. Rector has been associated with Phillip Carey Roofing recently with U. S. GyPsum Co.,

From 1942 to 1947 he served with the Air Force as director of ground training at Craig Field, Alabama and in the Pacific theatre. He holds the rank of major in the Air Force Reserve.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, class of 1931, Rector is married, has two children, and makes his home in Oak Park, Illinois.

John T. Northam, manager Harbor Plywood Corporation of Southern California, Los Angeles, returned last week follorn'ing an extended business trip throughout the 'ivestern region. Enroute home he stopped over in San Francisco to attend a sales promotion meeting of company executives.
