The West Coast l,umbermen's Association for the lveek ended October 24, 177 mills reporting, gave orders as 102,47I,0m feet, shipments 121,453,000 feet, and production 123.071.000 feet. Unfillecl orders at the end of the rveek totaled 422,907,000 f.eet.

For the week ended October 31, these same mills reported orders as 125,311,000 feet, shipments 126,610,0N feet, and production l2l,47O,OOA feet. Unfilled orders at the end of the week totaled 421.608.000 feet.

Harry Merlo, Rockport Redwood Co., San Francisco, and also president of the Santa Rosa Hoo-Hoo Club, announced that on November 14, the Santa Rosa CIub held its annual Ladies' Night. The event got under wav at the Santa Rosa Country Club with cocktails at 6:29 p.rn.. Thomas to the position of Los Angeles retail sales manager for Hammond Lumber Company was announced November 9 by Paul Hallingby, vice president and manager of the company's Southem California Division.
