Lumber shipments of 395 rrills reporting to the National Lumber Trade Barometer rvere 3.5 percent belorv prodrlction for the week ending September 13, 1947. In the same week new orders of these mills rvere 16.6 percent belou. production. Unfilled order files of the reporting mills amounted to 63 percent of stocks. For reporting softu'ood mills, unfilled orders are equivalent to 30 days' production at the,current rate and gross stocks are ecluivaient to 44 clays' production.

Inglewood Ycrd Moved To New Site

The Southland Lumber & Supply Co., Inglervood, Calif., has leased for a term of 15 years a half block of land,1ocated one block from the old location, the neu, acldress being 901 West Olive Street, Ingle.ivood.

All machinery and yard stock have been moved to the new site, and a new office and rvarehouse building is. norv in process of erection.

In addition to lumber, doors, and sasl-r. a larger stock of building supplies, including plyrvood, hardrvare and builcling specialties, rvill be carried to 1r1eet the grci'll'ing demarrcl of the district.

The Southern Pine Association for the week ended September 73,78 units (104 mills) reporting, gave orders as 21 ,795,N0 feet, shipments 17,454,000 feet, and production 15,628,000 feet. Orders on hand at the end of the rveek totaled 88.245.0@ feet.

The \\rest Coast Lumbermen's Association for the week ended September 6, 113 mills reporting, gave orders as 76,439,AOO feet, sl.ripments 83,820,000 feet, and production 77,645,000 feet. Unfilled orders at the end of the rveek totaled 564.590.000 feet.

For the u'eek ended September 13, 143 mills reporting, gave orders as 84,672,000 feet, shipments 100,648,000 feet, ancl production 98,75-1,000 feet. Unfilled orders at the end of the week totaled 546.2%.OAO feet.
