New Col-Pqcific Appointments
California Pacific Sales Corporation has appointed Pat Benson as general manager, and Freeman Campbell as sales manager, it has'been announced by William J. Pendola, president of the firm.
Benson's appointment is of particular note as it follows by just five years his joining the company after graduation from college. His experience is broad, having worked through the company, first on the green-chain during college summers, then sales, accounting, and now general manager.
Benson's progress has been geographic as well, with Cal-Pacific general offices moving from the mill at Arcata to San Francisco, and then last year to their present address on Telegraph Road in Los Angeles.
Freeman Campbell's appointment as sales manager brings over 20 years of experience to that position. It also brings a man well known throughout the Cali{ornia lumber industry. Campbell. a past secretary of Los Angeles Hoo Hoo No. 2, has worked evervthing from retail yards to custom-mills, all in the Southern California area.
Cal-Pacific also announced their biggest first quarter in company history. Records were set in both volume and net profit. Benson anticipates a record 1964 as well.
