Terrible Twenties Meets Monthly For

TT WAS the 456th Terrible Twenty tour- I nament held in the 38 years of monthly golf meetings and this particular contest attracted exactly 38 players of various ability with the old golf clubs.

In all the 38 years of tournament play there has been only one postponement. As usual May 8 was a beautiful spring day and the course was fast and perfect.

Arrangements for this clamtbake were handled by lumber executive Ed Bauer, who is also historian of the Terrible Twenty fraternity, which was established on May 19, 1926.

The first meeting and tournament of this oldest orsanization of its kind was held at Flintridg" C.C. with 29 mem,bers on hand to adopt the by-laws and start the action under the guidance of Eric Lange, the first o'Most Terrible."

Ther,e are many lumbermen who are members, including retailers, wholesalers, contractors and builders. Active members in the wood products industry in addition to Ed Bauer: Clarence Bohnhoff^ Hervev Bowles, Tom Fleming. Laythrop Leishman, Emil Lug, Virgil Oliver, Bob Osgood, Orville Stewart, Elmer Vivian, Roy Stanton, Sr., Dee Essley, Spud Jordan, "Pick" Maule and Sid Simmons.

Architect Robert F. Fields was elected The Most Terrible for the ensuing fiscal year at the banquet following the tournament.
