ERE IS A small home that has moet much larger home plus a great amount of charm.

It is much more difrcult to design a small home than a larger one. There are only so many square feet of space and no matter where this space is located or how the rooms are arranged, you always receive inquiries from prospective builderso asking why you didn't design an entirely different floor plan.

Hoping to meet the requirements of more builders, we have designed tlrree different floor plans but all with the same exterior dimensions and square footage. The illustrated exterior was drawn on Plan ooA," but exteriors of Plans ttB" and "C" would be the same except for window arrangement and the design of the storage area at the rear of the carport,

All of the floor plans have several things in common. This includes an attractive carport at the side which gives the house more width which together with tle roofed porch and used brick planter eliminates it from the "square box" design usually asso. ciated with most one-bedroom homes. A series of storage closets plus a water heater closet has been located at the rear of each carport. A wall furnace has been specified to provide heating in all of the plans. Each layout features a pullman lavatory plus a wide fireplace.

In Plan "A," part of the wall between the kitchen and livine room has been eliminated to form " Ii.ting space. This design has a separate service area. Plan ooB" is more of an open design as only cabinets separate the U-shaped kitchen from the living room. Part of these oabinets is a long eating bar.

In Plan '0C," the kitchen is completely separated from the living room. Space has been provided for a nook area. The bedroom in this design has a walk-in closet while the other two desisns have wardrobe closets.
