Masonite Industrial Plywood and Timber Corp. Advertising Buys 300 Million Feet of Timber Campaign for 1952

A broad advertising campaign involving 20 per cent greater expenditure than in 1951, has been scheduled by Masonite Corporation for this year, according to Donald E. Allen, advertising manager. Embracing 62 publications, the campaign includes 340 insertions.

Breadth of the Masonite line of hardboard products will be stressed. The company has 23 types and thicknesses offered through lumber retail channels and 39 for industrial applications.

In general consumer publications, three themes u'ill be played-Masonite hardboards as they may be applied in the home, as they are used in furniture and as the base for factory-finished u,all panels. Dach of these campaigns rvill break first in issues of The Saturdav Evenirrg Post on March 22, April 19 and July 12.

Advertisements u'i1l appear in 13 farm publications and 23 devoted to architecture and building. In addition, there rvill be space in various class publications to point up uses of the company's hardboards for signs and displays, concrete forms, furnit ure, toys lrnd various industrial installations. I\fedia in the latter category include Fortune and Ne'n srveek.

Industrial Plyrvood & Timber Corp., an affrliate of Industrial Ply'r,vood Corp. of Willits, Calif., recently pur'chased the Jensen Lumber Co. of Willits, according to an announcement by Hollis J. Nunneley, president of Industrial Plywood Corp. The purchase includes over 300 million feet of timber, more than 50 per cent of rvhich is fir. Mr. Nunneley said: "This makes a total of half a billion feet of timber back of the Industrial Plywood Corp. mill at Willits."

The officers of Industrial Plywood Corp. are: Hollis J. Nunneley, president ; Garthe Brown, vice president; Charles Quarnstrom, secretary-treasurer, and James Green, assistant treasurer.

The Timber Conservation Co. will be in ,charge of logging and operation; tree farms, and the sustained yield progran. Robert B. Jensen is president; Hollis J. Nunneley is executive vice president; George Stoodley is vice president, and Harry W. Falk is secretary.
