They represent what is believed to be the latest word regarding total dollar amounts of shipments. The graph and the information in this article are from that report.

Board core hardwood plywood shipments amounted to 119.8 million sq. ft. surface measure n 1976.

Container and packaging type hardwood plywood shipments were 32.3 million sq. ft. zurface measure in 1976 compared to 23.1 million sq. ft. surface measure in 1975.

Total shipments reported by 56 establishments of prefinished hardwood plywood for 1976 amounted to 2,884.3 million sq. ft. surface measure, compared to 2,497.2 million sq. ft in 1975.

Hqrdwood Plywood - Plywood having at least three wood plies, with a face of hardwood veneer; the back or inner plies may be any combination of hardwood or softwood veneer, lumber, particleboard, or hardboard.

helinished Hardwood PlywoodHardwood plywood panels that are face finished on one or both surfaces by printing, sanding, grooving, embossing, scoring, striating or by the addition of frllers, sealers, wixes, oils, stains, varnishes, paints, enamels, and/or similar materials. Prefinished hardwood plywood also includes panels that have been overlaid or laminated with nonwood materials including vinyl. Prefinishing of lauan by any of the above mentioned processes is also included.
