Tom K. Mullin, 43, president and chief executive officer of the Terry Cos., Tarzana, Ca., rlied July 5 in Thousand Oaks, Ca., after a six-year fight with melanoma cancer.

A native of Los Angeles and avid lifelong athlete, he attended the University of Utah on a tennis scholarship prior to joining the Terry Cos. in 1978.

After working for several years alongside his father, Terry, who founded the company in 1949, he became president and ceo in 1989.

He was forced by illness to relinquish operations to Lonnie Schied in September 1997.

Stanley A. Jensen, 75, chairman of Jensen Distribution Services. Spokane, Wa., died June 27 in Spokane.

A lifelong resident of Spokane, he served as a U.S. Navy pilot in World War II and was a former president of the National Wholesale Association.

His son, Michael Jensen, is the president of the company, representing the fourth generation of the family to work in the business.

Richard E. Nichols, 74, rethed general sales manager for LouisianaPacific Corp.'s since-sold plant in Santa Rosa, Ca., died June 26 in Kailua-Kona. Hi.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was the sales manager for Georgia-Pacific, Atlanta, Ga., prior tp working for LouisianaPacific.

He was a trustee for APA (then the American Plywood Association) in the early 1980s and a long-time mem- berof the Plywood Pioneers Association.

Fred Reseburg, 70, retired statistics department manager for the Western Wood Products Association, Portland, Or., died May 24 in Portland.

He joined the Western Pine Association. the forerunner to WWPA, in 1963, retiring 30 years later.

Donald W. Olson, 78, retired owner and manager of La Mesa Lumber Co., La Mesa, Ca., died June 28 in La Mesa.

A native of Minneapolis, Mn., he served in the U.S. Army during World War WII and came west after the war to work for La Mesa Lumber. his father's frrm.

He became owner in the mid 1950s and retired in 1994 after 46 vears in the industry.

He was a member of the San Diego Lumbermen's Association and the International Order of Hoo-Hoo.
