LMA's sOth convention rings of change

11 NUMBER of big changes were on the horizon for the Lumber Merchaflts Association of Northern California, as the group celebrated its golden anniversary convention in San Diego, Ca.

Foremost, LMA announced plans to continue talks with the Lumber Association of Southern California about a possible merger. A meeting between representatives of the two associations is planned for this fall in Palm Springs, along with sharing other "activities of mutual benefit to both organizations."

Jim Merchant, Mill Valley Lumber Co.; 2nd v.p.Tom Griesbach, Lampe Lumber Co.; treasurer Mack Giles, North Bay Lumber Co.; asst. treas. John Sheltren, and directors Al Stockton Jr., Mary Nieson, Charlie Moss, Mike Mayfield and Larry McFadden.
