Parr Buying 6 Copeland Yards
Copeland Lumber Yards Inc., Portland, Or., agreed to sell six of its 65 retail lumberyards to l3-unit competitor Parr Lumber Co., Hillsboro, (_rf.
No price was disclosed for the yards in Bend, Madras, Redmond, Prineville and Burns. Or.. and Woodland, Wa.
The deal is Copeland Lumber's first since announcing in April its intention to sell the yards and related assets as owners Helen Jo and Bill Whitsell make plans to retire (see May, p.24).
