QUNDAY, May 14, at 11:36 p.m., " over 40 of our members and their wives arrived at Ircs Angeles International Airport, culminating a week's trip to the Islands of Harraii, for business and pleasure.
On May [ 42 persons departed for the Sheraton-Maui. On arriving, the group expianded by eight, these people having anived a short time earlier.
On Monday, four more joined our group, bringing the total complement to 54.
That day there was a general membership meeting for those present. Recent activities of the association were discussed and possible areas of expanded activities taken under con- sideration. The agenda of speakers and the progrem for the balanee of the days was calld to everyone's. attention.
Some of the more importa^nt items discussed rvere: the possible appoint ment of an individual to,the National Glading Rules Committee, representing the retail segment of the lumber industry. fire association members were sirongly in favor of such an appointment.
Another item of interest to the group was the possible rescinding of the regrading privilege now available to truss manufacturers and other users of special material. The association has gone on record as oppoeing the change. The board of revie$ of the American Lumber Standards Committee has decided to make a ffnal
