Bill MacBeath, MacBeath Hardwood Co.o San Francisco, has been elected the new president of the Pacific Co,ast Wholesale Hardwood Distributors Assn. at their May convention in Ojai, Calif. He succeeds outgoing president Ken Tinckler of Stahl Lumber Co.
Other officers elected ot the group's 49th annual are Dick Quarg, Forsyth Hardwood, lst vp.; Jack-Millikan, Lane-Stanton Lumber, 2nd vp.; and Bud Radditz, Higgins Hardwoods, sec.-treas.
New directors are Murrav MacKenzie, Fred Ahern, Ed 'Bauer, George Baker, James Spellman and Don Reel.
Events included sectional reports, a talk by Tim Raker on South American and Pacific hardwoods, an OSHA seminar, election of officers and committee reports. Social events included square dancing, a golf tourney chairmanned by Jack Higgins and the Annual Regatte, chairman Jim Sullivan, which was won by the Commodore North, Len Hall.
