I a sood convention and tlre Arizorra group is most decidedly that. Their recent annual in Yuma is ample proof, if any were needed, of their remarkable progress the last few years.

The Arizona Retail Lumher & Builders Supply Association in the last four vears has added 56 new members. Last vear alone they picked up 15 new members, losing only two, and those to failure.

Their new slate of officers insures that the momentum that so many have contributed to won't be lost: Sam Hauert.

Despite rumbles, no name change was made this year well planned convention was one of their best . . . next year's meet: Tucson, May 7-9, 1970.

The officers and members will again lre getting a strong backup from their very capablc secretary-manager Frank Davis.

L-nder an umllrella of "Iloney, Nlanpower. \'Iarketing and Mar:hinery," the convention program began rvith the annual lnmberman's golf tournament (no sand "greens"), and wound up the first day rvith a steak {r1 under the amazingly clear Arizona desert sky. (Yes. Virginia, there still are places where there isn't any smog).

A stemrvinding addre-*s by John Wolfe accelerated the business sessions ofi to a fast pace the next day. In a convincing talk. Wolfe made sclling sound likc what it is. an exciting, profitahle n'ar- to do something with your life.
