Sadie Ostin, former vice president of David Ostin Moulding Corp., Sacramento, Ca., died AprilT, 1990, in Norfolk, Va. She was 79. Survivors include her widower, David, a son and a grandson.

Alvin G. "Al" Fegles, 80, formerly for many years with the West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau, Portland, Or., died April 7, 1990, following a lengthy illness.

After working with various mills, he joined WCLIB in 1945, retiring as vice president - operations in 1975.

Mr. Fegles is survived by his widow, Mary, two daughters, a son and a number of grandchildren.

W, Paul Donovan has been named director of sales for Wallboard Tool Co., Long Beach, Ca.

Norma Egger has joined Holmdahl Bros. Lumber Co., Spokane, Wa.

Prepare Fair '90, a public awareness event featuring displays and demonstrations of safety techniques and emergency preparation, was recently held at five HomeClub warehouses in Southern California.

Aimed at promoting awareness and providing information on threats such as earthquakes, fires and exposure to hazardous chemicals, the April 7 programs at North Hollywood, El Monte, San Bernardino, Riverside and Moreno Valley stores included air ambulance demonstrations, fire vehicle exhibits, first aid demonstrations, door prizes and safety professionals answering questions and handing out literature.
