S part of its ongoing program of pronrtrting energy saving construction methods and materials, tlie Arizona Lumber and Builders Supply Association recently held two sales construction seminars emphasizing techniqucs of cost and energy saving construction.

Based in part on materia-l developed by the R&D division of the National Lumber and Building Material Dcalers Association, the seminar moderators were Ray Harrell, NLBMDA v.p. and Gerry Prange, v.p., technical services, of the National F-orest Products Association. Additionally, thc so-called Arkansas Plan was presented. lt is a pacesetting and widely regarded wood construction technique developed jointly by I{UD/FHA in conjunction with tlie Arkansas Power and Light Co. that achieves a remarkable 60% reduction in holne energy cost.
