Capital Lumber Branches Out lnto Building Materials

Capital Building Materials, Capital Lumber Co.'s newest subsidiary, is distributing commoditybased products throughout Arizona and Nevada.

Opened in June next to Capital Lumber's Phoenix, Az., facility, CBM specializes in Douglas fir timbers, glulam beams and handpeeled logs. The inventory also includes dimension lumber, sidings, treated lumber, Douglas fir and southern yellow pine plywood.

The 8-acre facility maintains 3 million bd. ft. of product. Each day, 12 truckloads service approximately 50 contractor yards.

CBM's sales and buying staff, including Fred Bilbrey, Terry Powell, Dan Good and division manager Van Vanderhoff, has nearly 60 years of combined experience in the industry.
