Hardwood Glub Honors Founders, Old Timers
The Los Angeles Hardwood Lumbermens Club honored industry old timers at a recent gathering in Downey, Ca. More than 50 attended.
Highlighting the evening was a series of reminiscenses emceed by Dick Lambert of Lane Stanton Vance Lumber Co., the prime mover behind the meeting. The affection, respect and good feeling between club members was evident as tales of derring-do in the hardwood business unfolded. While some are perhaps not quite suitable for retelling here, none reflected anything more serious than high spirits and the fun of good times.

Outstanding among the recollections was a thread of honesty and integrity in the dealings that marked the member's conduct of their busiNESS.
