Frank Collard, credit manager at Ganahl Lumber Co., Anaheim, Ca., has been named the first recipient of the Building Industry Credit Association's Donald Hollman Distinguished Service Award.

With Ganahl since 1980, Collard has served as BICA's education chairman, treasurer, vice president and president. He is currently on the resource committee and chairman of the legislative committee, and spends a few days each month at the Sacramento State Legislature lobbying for the building products industry.

BICA's 1,300 firm membership voted for Collard in a secret ballot.

Ganahl Lumber is a founding member of the 86-yearold credit association.

New Look At Diamond Lumber

Diamond International Lumber stores are taking on a new look as the company's marketing focus returns to contractors.

Historically, the stores were geared to supplying contractors until a few years ago when new management introduced the retail orientation. Now, in a nationwide reorganization, the company is returning to a contractor emphasis. Although both consumers and contractors will be served, stores will concentrate on merchandise for the building trade.
