Mansion Industries, Inc. has a new and patented no-fillet variable pitch staircase,/balcony rail system called Promontory.

Promontory balusters have precrafted discs which self-lock into rail sockets. A single piece of molding trim creates a finished look, making installation much simpler for do-ityourselfers, remodelers or installers. Installation is also faster because time-consuming cutting and attaching of fillet pieces are eliminated.

Another feature ofthe new rail system is the same rail will accommodate two sizes of balusters (l-l/4' square and l-5l8" square) to allow for aesthetic variations and can be used for either level runs or installations with up to a 43 " pitch.

Parts are available in oak or hemlock which may be stained or painted, depending on personal preference. A full line of newel post selections is also available.

Three-Way View Cabinets

The Oak Hill Series of bathroom cabinets has been introduced by Broan Mfg. Co.

Providing three-way viewing and three storage areas, the series features "one-touch" springJoaded magnetic door releases for reportedly easyopen, easy{lose operation.

The cabinets come in a light honey or dark golden finished natural oak hardwood frame and feature matching woodtone sides. There is a built-in top light.

D-l-Y Plumbing Flexibility

Stainless steel flexible connectors are new for the d-i-y plumber from the Aqua-Flo Corp.

Warranted for l0 full years, the patented polymer inner lining reportedly floats inside a tough, braided, stainless steel cover for total flexibility.

The connectors. which are said to take working pressures of 600 PSI (max. 24C0 PSI) and temperatures from 5'to 230' F.. are useful for faucets, toilet tanks, water heaters. washers, water softeners, heat pumps, heating, air conditioning, dishwashers, ice makers, RV's and boats.

Redwood Masonry Float

A redwood masonry float for general masonry cement finishing is new from Hyde Tools.

Made of seasoned, genuine California redwood construction. the float's base measures 5 " x 12 " and is 5/8 in. thick. It reportedly resists water and will not warp or crack. A smooth wood handle provides comfort for the user.

A Big Haul

Up to 150 lbs. of firewood can be carried up stairs and through standard doorways using the new WoodCaddy from Mardon Industries.

The product has a lightweight tubular steel frame with an electroplated zinc finish which will reportedly not chip or peel. Pneumatic tires are mounted on 20" welded wheels with 3A" solid steel axle to support large and cumbersome loads of wood-reportedly more than four or flve armloads in one trip.

The maximum width of the carrier is 27 " to pass through standard 30" doorways.

Tool Companions

To store tools, Hyde has introduced four types of tool pouches designed to accommodate varying consumer needs. All are made of heavy duty, top grain moccasin leather, with rivet-reinforced stitched construction and wide tunnel belt loops.

The nail,/tool bag with hammer loops is an 8 pocket design with a l0"by 8" main pocket, a 6-l/2" by 5 "medium pocket, six small tool pockets and two leather hammer loops.

The nail/dr1'wall tool bag is available with a 10 " by 8 " main pocket and a 7 " by 3-l/2" inner pocket.

The drywall tool pouch with steel hammer loops is a multi-pocket design with a box shaped main pocket, inside tool pockets, a wallboard saw holder, a universal cutter pocket, a 12' tape rule holder and a steel hammer loop.

The tool pouch with divided main pocket, two large capacity tool pockets and two tapered screwdriver holders, knee pads and a work belt round out the leather goods line.
