A new generation of HT and MT FM two-way portable radios bave been introduced by Moorola.

The radios feanre the broadest tunable band width available, programmable channel spacing, built-in noise canceling microphone to minimize background noise during voice tJansmissions, priority channel scan and Call Alert decode.

They are only 6.3" high and weigh 19 oz. The more advanced model also has DTMF telephone interconnect, zoned channel operation, back-lit alphanumeric LCD display and full 15 button keypad that simplifies feature selection by scrolling through a program menu.

Dcck Nailing Syetcm

Two nails especially dcsigned for deck fastening with automatic nailers have been introduced by Senco hoducts.

The 3" nail with a screw shank for extra holding power is primarily used for framing use. It includes Sencote, a coating that liquifies under the friction of high velocity fastener driving, then quickly hardens to fuse the nail to the wood fibers for maximum holding Power.

The ring shank 2-3/8" nail is designed for fastening smaller dimension floorboards and other decking components. Both nails feature corosion-resistant galvanization.

Nails are driven by Senco's SN325+ and SN4 nailers.

The Lexan resin panels are virtually unbreakable, shatterproof and offer 40Vo better insulation than single pane glass. Two solar-operated controls operate the roof and base vents to release excessive heat and draw in cool air during hot days. They automatically close the vents at night to preserve warmth.

Polyurethane Millwork

More than 20 new Like-Wood brand pre-formed polyurethane millwork products have been added to RAS Industries' line of over 70O architectural moldings and decorative units.

Now available are nine pitched dentil moldings, two sizes of column caps and bases, a rosette-shaped arabesque accent for stucco-style exterior and interior uses, five rnoldings, sunrise pediment with keystone and three triangular gable louvers.

Polyurethane is reportedly less expensive than wood and will not rot, warp, split, crack or attract insects.
