Woodrow Nlcholson, president of Nicholson Supply Co., Wauchula, Fl., died June 14. He was 77.

A 50 year veteran of the building materials industry, he is survived by his widow, Helen, one son, one daughter and four grandchildren.

Otls Oubre, 78, founder of O.J. Oubre Lumber Co., Loreauville, La., died June 7, 1990, in New Iberia, La., after a lengthy bout with cancer.

Born in St. Martin, La., he worked as a contractor before opening the yard in 1939. He opened a second location in New lberia, which he closed upon retiring at the end of 1987.

Mr. Oubre is survived by his widow, Ruby, three daughters, one brother and nine grandchildren.

Thank you for your editorial in the March issue.

I couldn't agree with you more on the doom & gloom the national media presents us with day in and day out. The fact is, during the '80s decade this country experienced the LARGEST economic and employment growth in its history.

The media cannot accept the fact that a conservative agenda brought on by the Reagan administration fueled this economic growth.
