AWPB Names New President

Eric Yeadon, new president of the American Wood Preservers Bureau, Springfield, Va., has an extensive background in wood preservation in both England and the U.S.

Yeadon's career began in England in 1962, when he directed export sales of Hickson's wood treatment chemicals to more than 50 countries. In 1970 he launched a joint venture, Koppers/Hickson Canada, where he served as vice president/ general manager, before returning to England in 1974 to direct Hickson's international operations. He moved to the U.S. in 1979 to manage licensee operations for Koppers' Wolman Div., and most recently served as Hickson U.S. business representative, coordinating American acquisitions. He recently became a U.S. citizen.

Anthony ls New AITC Pres.

John Lee Anthony, El Dorado, Ar., is the new president of the American Institute of Timber Construction. Manager of the laminating division at Anthony Forest Products and a member of the board of directors, he has been with the company since 1964. He is a past vice president and a past treasurer of AITC, a technical trade association.

New Elder Facility

A complete planer mill facility, plus trim saws and related machinery, has been installed by Elder Wood Preserving at their Mansura, La., plant.

Cameron Adds Two Branches

Cameron Wholesale has reopened its Amarillo, TX., branch which had been closed since 1984.

He succeeds the late Charles E. Thomas Jr., who retired after l0 years in the position. (See Obituary, p.38)

The company has also opened a branch specializing in windows in Ft. Worth. This is their third outlet in the metroplex area.

Housed in a 70'x175' building, the new mill can produce a wide range of different patterns as well as operate as a custom mill to handle special customer requirements.

Elder Wood Preserving has also begun treating selected wood products with Ultrawood, a new chemical formulation produced by CSI, Inc., that guarantees wood to be water repellent for 50 years.
