“Explosive and thrilling! Ragtime is nothing short of a masterpiece.” — Bloomberg News

AT THE DAWN OF A NEW CENTURY, everything is changing…and anything is possible. RAGTIME returns to the road in all-new national touring production directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge and produced by the team that most recently brought you Spamalot and The Color Purple. At the turn of the 20th century, ragtime was the new music that provided the soundtrack for an America in transition. The stories of an upper-class wife, a determined Jewish immigrant and a daring young Harlem musician unfold — set in turn-of-the-century New York — all three united by their desire and belief in a brighter tomorrow. Their compelling stories are set to theatre’s richest and most glorious Tony Award®-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens. Winning Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Musical Score, this 13 time Tony Award nominated musical is a timeless celebration of life — what it could and should be!

Programmer’s notes: For over 30 years, the best in professional touring entertainment has graced the Mitrani Stage as part of Bloomsburg University’s Celebrity Artist Series. From solo celebrity acts to 100-piece international orchestras and nearly everything in between, Celebrity Artist Series fills the calendar with entertaining and culturally enriching programs…30 years-worth. Each year, the series’ staff strives to improve on the previous season, but with each great show that job becomes ever more daunting. How do we follow up last year’s hit FORTE or the Broadway premiere of The Illusionists? The task certainly wasn’t easy, but we believe we’ve been able to put together a series that you will be excited to be part of! From the folks that brought us FORTE we have the 2014 AGT finalists Sons of Serendip — destined to be another outstanding hit! Two national Broadway tours with music and spectacle, and Bloomsburg’s blues fever has come to Haas Center in the persona of the leading lady of blues guitar Ana Popovic. And that’s just the first few weeks! Take a look at these pages – I think you’ll be swept away with the variety of offerings - and be sure to turn in your order form right away to ensure yourself the best seats in the house. Better yet, why not become a Celebrity Circle member and join a group of friends who understand how vital the arts are at Bloomsburg University and our surrounding community. You can find an impressive

list of membership benefits on these brochure pages. A lot has changed in Bloomsburg over the past 30 years, but one thing has remained the same — great entertainment at great prices. So grab a couple of friends and make a night of it. With our modest ticket prices you still have room in the budget for a nice dinner at one of Bloomsburg’s fine restaurants or pubs. I look forward to seeing you at this season’s Celebrity Artist Series events — where awesome calls home! — Randall Presswood, Executive Director Performing Arts & Programming
