Police Blotter Woodridge, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. March 3 on Webster and 59th Street for suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Yanet Najera-Tellez, 35, 2609 S. Tripp Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 3:44 p.m. March 4 in the 400 block of 75th Street for no valid driver’s license.
Lawrence Porro, 58, 5710 W. Hawthorne Ave., Berkeley, was arrested at 9:29 a.m. Feb. 28 on Butterfield Road and Fountain Square for aggravated driving while license suspended.

Gazmend Osmani, 38, 4926 25th St., Kenosha, Wis., was arrested at 2:36 a.m. March 2 on Butterfield Road and Technology for DUI/ alcohol. Robert A. Adams, 40, 1509 Meyers, Elgin, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. March 6 on Ogden Avenue and Florence for driving while license suspended and no valid insurance. Audrey L. Eaton, 38, 1443 Meyer St., Elgin, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. March 6 in the 300 block of Ogden Avenue for a warrant. Jared Matthew Munoz, 24, 800 Ogden Ave., Downers Grove, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. March 6 on Venard and Ogden for driving while license suspended and no insurance. Joy M. Cooper, 50, 612 Hitchcock, Lisle, was arrested at 10:36 p.m. March 6 in the 2000 block of Ogden Avenue for no valid driver’s license.

Sometime between 12 a.m. Feb. 22 and 11 p.m.Feb.27,an unknown offender(s) entered a vehicle parked in the 6700 block of Echo Lane and stole a laptop.Total loss is $500. Sometime between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27, an unknown offender(s) stole a purse in the 600 block of Pasquinelli Drive.Total loss is $100. At approximately 10:30 a.m. Feb. 28, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of West 63rd Street for a license violation. Officers arrested Ruben Craddock, male, age 32, of 6707 Alpine Lane #5, Westmont, for driving with a suspended driver’s license, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance. At approximately 1 a.m. March 1, officers responded to the 300 block ofWest Naperville Road for a battery. Officers arrested Brandeis Moore, male, age 30, of 332 W. Naperville Road #14, Westmont, for battery after he punched two individuals. He was released on his own recognizance. At approximately 12:50 p.m. March 1, officers responded to the 0-100 block of West 63rd Street for a theft. Officers arrested Chen Nguyen, male, age 63, of 7202 Emerson Drive, Darien, for retail theft after he stole food from a business. He was released on his own recognizance. At approximately 2:30 a.m. March 2, officers responded to the 400 block of North Richmond Avenue for a battery. Officers arrested Gregory Bengal, male, age 32, of 420 North Richmond Ave., Westmont, for domestic battery after he pushed a family member. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail for a bond hearing.
Woodridge At approximately 8:08 p.m. Feb. 21, Diquan Henry, 18, 2425 Spring St., Woodridge, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of alcohol by a minor, following a street stop in the 8100 block of Janes Avenue. At approximately 11:55 p.m. Feb. 22, Corey Netrefa, 27, 9250 Waverly Court, Darien, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment, following a traffic stop on Edgewood at Oakview.
Kent Gutierrez, 24, 293 Vista Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 3 a.m. March 2 on 55th and Fairview for DUI/alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident.
Sometime between 4 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26, an unknown offender(s) entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Willow Lane and stole a handicap placard.Total loss is $20.
At approximately 3:04 p.m. Feb. 23, Barbara Curry, 57, 212 Pamela Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft after switching price tags on items at Goodwill, 8615 Woodward Ave.
Phil Taylor, 44, 404 Healy Ave., Romeoville, was arrested at 10:51 a.m. March 3 on Main Street and Norfolk for a warrant.

Texas man charged in 1999 sexual assault DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced Monday that bond has been set for a Texas man accused of forcing his way into an elderly woman’s home and sexually assaulting her in 1999. Roberto Noyola-Espinal, 37, Texas, appeared in bond court on Saturday, March 1, in front of Judge Robert Miller who set bond at $1 million with 10 percent to apply. He is charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual Assault and one count of home invasion, both Class X felonies. It is alleged that on Feb. 7, 1999, NoyolaE s p i n a l a p p ro a ch e d the then 63 year-old Roberto Noyolaw o m a n ’ s Espinal, 37, Texas apartment in Lisle and knocked on the patio door. Thinking it was a friend, the woman began to open the door. Once she realized she did not know the person knocking on the door, the woman attempted to close the door. Police allege that Noyola-Espinal forced the door open and entered the apartment. Once inside the apartment, it is alleged that Noyola-Espinal physically and sexually assaulted the woman and then fled the scene. The victim went to her neighbor’s home and called the police. Following an investigation into the incident, a DNA profile on the suspect was entered into the federal Combined DNA Index System. The investigation of the assault continued throughout the years. In October 2013, CODIS hit on the DNA collected at the scene of the crime implicating Noyola-Espinal. On Thursday, Feb. 27, Noyola-Espinal was extradited from his home in Texas and returned to DuPage County to face the charges. “I would like to applaud the tenacity of the fine men and women of the Lisle Police Department,” Berlin said. “For the better part of fourteen years they never gave up in their pursuit of justice in this case.” Noyola-Espinal’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 31, 2014 in front of Judge Blanche Hill Fawell.
