Getting in Here’s what you need to know K-pop has been a growing global trend for awhile now and just like any other [fan] culture, it’s developed a variety of sub-communities that you might find yourself curious about.

In fact, BNS might be one such interest for you! BNS, or Buy-and-Sell, is a relatively new strain of K-pop stanning that involves the (surprise surprise) buying and selling of idol merchandise – including but not limited to: photocards, albums, posters, etc. Not only is it a great way to support your favorite artists and groups, but also an opportunity for you to be more involved with the K-pop community.

Although if you’re not the hardcore collector type, then not to worry because BNS could just be a way for you to make friends and find people who share a common interest with you.

Afterall, companionship is just another fun aspect of being in the K-pop fandom.

At this point, maybe you’re wondering: “I wonder why Budol Besties chose these steps?”

Well there’s actually a method to our madness and, mind you, a lot of research went into formulating those steps for our besties! Instead of going straight to the money and jargon, we Budol Besties wanted to make sure that all of you started out your bns journeys mentally and financially sound.

Firstly, step one honestly speaks for itself. Before getting into any hobby or venture it’s always wise to do your own research of it. This way you can really prepare yourself for factors such as the fandom or community’s culture, behavior, and practices. Being knowledgeable can help you early on, especially when it comes to step two – setting boundaries.

K-pop BNS, like all other fandom communities, has both its upsides and downsides. As a newbie, you might end up finding

yourself overwhelmed and pressured by many things – the array of merchandise to choose from or the barrage of different opinions from the many participants of bns twt.

It’s not uncommon for one to be negatively affected by toxic behavior online and it might even make the experience less fun; so in order to avoid that, try giving yourself a set of boundaries to follow. That way you can maintain your money and mental health while enjoying your new photocards or albums.

The wonderful thing about Twitter is often the anonymity. You can either be your real identity or a completely different persona altogether – it’s your choice! Maybe you can think of something cute and corny that will match your idol bias, or you can be witty and think of something that’s pun-ny. Be warned though, a lot of people might have already taken the handle you wanted so you better claim yours by making your account asap! Although you can be anonymous, don’t forget to always practice kindness and compassion to others in bns twt. It’s about making friends as much as it is about the merch.

A great way to reach out and make friends within the community is to just be straightforward about it. People can be friendlier than you think, and they could be more than happy to meet someone new too. Not only that but getting to know people can actually help you get used to bns twt faster. Wag na ma-shy shy shy pa, go and send out that “looking for mutuals” post!

Finally, just enjoy it! Don’t let bad vibes ruin the fun for you, nor be the bad vibes that ruins the fun for others.
