O U R S T O R Y

Buddy & Barney is an independent family run business based in the beautiful city of Bath, United Kingdom. The founder has almost 25 years’ experience in the toy and publishing industry (in other words playing with toys and reading kids’ books all day!) and is supported by his great in-house team, a wonderful array of talented illustrators and designers, and of course his family, which includes two sons (yes, you guessed it, they are called Buddy & Barney – the real brains behind the business!). We are passionate about toys and we aim to create fun yet educational products for little ones around the world. It helps having two energetic boys under the age of seven as our chief product testers!

We design and produce high quality children’s toys (with a few novelty books-plus items thrown in). Our ethos is all about creating products that are FUN but also encourage active learning through play. We make toys that we love and more importantly, that our boys love. If it doesn’t get the nod from our little chief product testers, it doesn’t get produced.

OUR AIM

We aim to create educational toys and books that are designed to nurture and enhance children’s development in the early years. We try to make learning fun and engaging with our innovative range of products.

The serious stuff! Whilst we love designing and creating our toys, the safety and quality of the products we make is paramount. We ensure that our products signify integrity, quality and of course fun! At every stage of development, our products endure rigorous, industry standard testing, as well as intensive play testing.

We implement a scrupulous and expansive safety policy and procedure of each one of our products. We are fully compliant with the ASTM and CPSIA requirements in North America.
