RESERVE YOUR FALL 4-H BROILER CHICKS NOW! The 2019 Fall 4-H School Enrichment Embryology Program will be underway soon. There will be 4-5 day old broiler chicks available on November 8th and November 22nd. Any 4-H member regardless of club affiliation is eligible to raise these free broiler chicks. They are meat birds, so they grow rapidly. The approximate length of the project is only 7-8 weeks. Raise a batch for your freezer, for a club fundraiser or as a community service project. For additional information or to reserve chicks now, please call Loretta Rush at the Extension Office or e-mail her at lcr12@psu.edu. 4-H TOASTMASTERS JUNIOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM This very popular class, which looks great on your resume, is an nine week introduction for teens, 4-H age 1318 years old, to public speaking. Active “hands-on” practice for participants. Teens MUST attend all eight classes. (Registration flyer enclosed) BUCKS COUNTY 4-H MUZZLELOADER RIFLE COURSE Bucks County 4-H is holding a muzzleloader / black powder short course for youth between the ages of 12 – 18. The program will be held at a local indoor shooting range and is taught by NRA and 4-H certified shooting sports instructors. The 4-H club will shoot on 4 consecutive Friday evenings starting on, October 4th – October 25th, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Branch Valley Fish and Game Club. Novice and experienced shooters are welcomed. The instructors will teach range safety, rifle safety, and shooting technique. Muzzleloader Rifles are available for those that don’t have one available. Any youth members interested in joining the club should attend. Class size is limited; Registration flyer enclosed. BUCKS COUNTY 4-H ACHIEVEMENT NIGHT Mark your calendars, Friday, December 13, 2019 @ 6:00p.m. Teen Council will host an awards dinner for our volunteers and members. If you do not want to miss this celebration, complete the enclosed flyer and return ASAP! No admission without a reservation, NO EXCEPTIONS! (see enclosed flyer)
