Usual activities were carried out and he referred MC to the reports in the e booklet The Sangha follow a regulated time table for their daily discipline routine. He reported that 2 monks have requested to go home, and he has approved their requests. He will continue to recruit new monks. 会长通知理事僧伽部没任何变动，运作一样如常。理事们可参考电子手册中的报告。僧伽们都按照规定的时间表进行日常有纪律的做息。他说有两名僧人要求回去，他已批准他们回家。他将继续寻找新的僧侣。 Buddhist Culture 佛教文化 Basic Buddhism Course 1 & 2 Mr. Ee reported that the 1st Semester for the Basic Buddhism Course 1 & 2 will end on 17 July 2022. The 2nd semester will start on 7 August 2022. 余董事提到佛学基础课程 1 和 2 的第一学期将于 2022 年 7 月 17 日结束。第二学期将在 2022 年 8 月 7 日开始。 Vesak Day Books Distribution 卫塞节佛书结缘 We have distributed around 700 copies of “The Teaching of Buddha (English & Chinese Version), 300 copies of “Buddha is our Teacher (English)” & 100 copies of “Messages from the Buddha (English)” during the book distribution on Vesak Day. 我们在卫塞节派发了约 700 本《佛陀的教法》（中英文版）、300 本《佛陀是我们的老师（英文）》和 100 本《佛陀的讯息（英文）》。 The Vesak Day celebration was successfully held on 16 May 2022. This is the 1st event after the pandemic crisis. Residents was happy with the event

It will be conducted in English & Chinese on every Saturday. Chinese Session will be from 10:30am 12pm English Session will be from 2pm 3:30pm 每周六的寺庙免费导览将在 5 月 14 日恢复运作。这导览将会以中英语述说。中文讲解上午 10 点 30 分至下午 12 点英语讲解下午 2 点至 3 点 30 分 Donor Relations 寺务部 Ms Jenny Koh presented the financials position for the various ceremonies and events as of Apr 2022. Based on the collection comparison from year 2021, there is an increase of S$944,292.00 E portal collection has also increased from $393,739.00 to $700,835.00 She also walked through the activities from Mar 2022 Apr 2022 with the MC. 许丽娟经理汇报了寺务部至 4 月 2022 年的收入. 与去年 2021 相比, 增加了新元 94 万。线上收入的也从去年的新元 39 万增加至新元 70 万。她继续汇报于 3 月和 4 月的法会与活动。 She informed MC of the demise of our donor Mr Tan Tian Poh’s wife, Mdm Lim Siew Hoon. The average daily sales were about $2k This revenue and profit report was extracted from POS sales system. It does not include the full operating cost, staff cost and admin expenses. 余董事汇报了 2022 年 4 月至 5 月份的收入和利润。平均每日收入是在$2 千左右。此元报告是取至 POS 系统, 不包含人事成本和其他管理莲芯的花费。 Mr Ee said that the report on sales comparison base on products & days (in quantity). All these figures were extracted from the POS System. 余董事也跟委员程报了一系列食品的销售量和对比。 Currently, NCS is focused on the cutover of Portals to E Commerce. Only the POS financial data will be migrated to D365 and not the item details. 目前，NSC 正关注把所有的财物数据从现有的网站迁移到 D365 的互联网而不是物品。 He also shared the planning for Lian Xin as following: 1. Operation Hour； 2. New Menu； 3. Delivery of Food. Engaging 2 3 riders to run the delivery； 4. Will start on Recycle Compost； 5. Kreta Ayer Kim Seng Meal Plus share a meal； Each resident will be issued with a card, we will only deduct $1 from the card and the remainder amount will be from Maitreya Charity Fund；and 6. Marketing a new product of “Premium Chinese Tea” Gift Box. It consists of 7 packets of different flavours of Tea + 1 Teacup nicely packed in it. Those teas are exclusive for BTRTS. The electrical, water and gas usage and expenses for the period from Mar to Apr 2022; 2. An update on renewal & expiry of all licenses. (Electrical, Building fire Certificate, Lifts etc); 3. The maintenance works which were carried out; 4. The Monthly Periodic Maintenance Program and Summary of Maintenance Check and Repair by UEMS; 5. Housekeeping and pest control; 6. Update of completed and in progress Tender Works; 7. Tender Works in progress. We are still waiting for the delivery of the Tablets for Ancestral Hall; 8. Tender Reschedule. Regarding the painting of the temple façade, the President told the MC that he planned to spend some time to do his research on the colour and quality of the paint; and 9. Ancestral Hall renovation update; Mr Gary continued with the presentation of his Project Summary report and quoted the balance payable amount at $2.1m. Align with it， Mr. Jimmy Tay’s query for Agenda was being answered. Income and Expenditure as at Apr 2022. Surplus is at $922k (after depreciation) Overall, increased in revenue as at Apr 2022 compared to year 2021; 2. Total donations and sponsorship ($51,000.00); 3. Investments (Nominal Value: $2m / Interest: $57,688.00). No changes as the maturity are in 2023 & 2025; 4. Fixed deposits as at 31.5.2022: $2,550,878.00 5. Bank balance as at 31.5.22: $3,287,192.42; 6. Accumulated funds as at Apr 2022: $65,467,346.16; 7. Related party transactions; 8. Honorarium; and 9. 6th Meeting of Management Committee (2021 2023) Page 8 of 16 10 June 2022 4.7 Human Resource 人力资源 Mr Ee reported on the following: 1. Organization Charts; 2. Staff movement as of June 2022; 3. Conflict of Interest declarations by staff; 4. Staff on yearly contracts; 5. Nationality distribution; 6. Headcount distribution (local v foreign); 7. Medical Leave; 8. Overtime; 9. Training hours; and 10. Covid vaccination status; Based on the organisation chart, there is still one open vacancy for manager. Mr Ee intends to expand the digital marketing team. He also shares with the MC of our recently employment of an ex convict who join us as an assistant cook in our kitchen. We have employed him based on strict conditions and we will monitor his performance closely. Currently, he is happy at work at the kitchen.

President proposed to increase the Sangha headcount from 10 to 12, which this will minimize the workload of the current monks.

Mr Jimmy mentioned that on the last IT Sub Con meeting, Dr Ngiam has suggested to do an interim Audit. Mr Ee explained that as we are doing it on Agile, we do not need an interim Audit. The whole cut over will be in July and after that Portals will be deactivated

Mr Ee updated that NCS has formed 2 teams Development & Maintenance team to align with D365 progress. Meeting will be held with the two teams alternately to update and discuss the progress of D365. Any software issue will need to login to Jira to notify NCS An UAT Testing will be performed before going live. There will be Quarterly updates on the IT progress.

Web pageviews & trends; 7. Portal pageviews; 8. Facebook Followers and pageviews; 9. Live streaming views (Numbers of ppl watching the Live streaming); 10. Revenue (Physical vs Virtual / Last Year vs Current Year); 11. D365 project (Development & Maintenance Team) the progress update; and 12. Microsoft Teams Phone System. We planned to implement this new system in replacement of our current PABX system. Currently, there is Live streaming on 1st & 4th floors. We intend to have Live streaming for Lian Xin Restaurant.

7. Will start selling the left over inventories from the Tang shop once the renovation for Aryana Hall is completed and once e commerce commences. Management letter has been cleared to the Audit Committee Two points which we explained and discussed with the AC have been accepted by the Auditor. Mr Jimmy Tay proposed and Mr James Saw seconded. The motion was unanimously approved by members present.

4. Cashflow The decrease in FD was due to the utilising of fund to pay off the renovation cost in the Temple.

He said that there are no major changes except the organisation structure. Mr Soon raises query on the attendance for the MC meeting. Mr Christopher explains that AGM for last year was held in June 21. As such, newly elected members will have only attended 3 meetings because they were only elected on 19 June 21. 余董事向委员们汇报了 2021 年的年度报告。余董事说除了组织结构之外，其它的都保持不变。孙理事向余董事发问有关委员们出席会议的次数，陈明达顾问回复说，因去年的股东会议是在 2021 年 6 月举办的，因此新加入的委员只能在 2021 年 6 月 19 号提名，所以出席会议的次数就只有三次。 Governance Section Report was newly added to the Annual Report by Mr Chris in compliance with the authority’s requirements. The content in it include attendance, sub committee, strategy planning, financial management, PDPA, Conflict of interest, Risk of Management etc. We will also disclosure our UEN number, Banker etc. We are under the Enhanced Tier. 陈明达顾问在年度报告中新增添了治理评估报告，这是政府的要求。表格所报的内容包括考勤，机构委员，战略规划，财务管理，PDPA，利益冲突，管理风险等。我们还将披露我们的 UEN 编号，银行等。我们属于增强层。 Mr Kevin Tan proposed and Mr Soon seconded. Purpose 目的 1.1 The purpose of this paper is to seek Management Committee's approval on a $96,379 financial support package to help eligible full time employees amid rising global inflation. 本文目的是寻求理事会批准提供$96,379 的财务援助，以帮助符合条件的全职雇员对抗全球通胀。 2. Background 背景 2.1 It is public knowledge that COVID 19 restrictions and lockdowns in the past 2 years have severely disrupted supply chains and resulted in higher energy and food prices. Page 2 of 5 2.3 Soon after the government announced its $1.5 billion support package, it was reported in the local press that core consumer prices in Singapore surged at the fastest rate in more than 13 years in May 2022 led by the rising costs of food, electricity and gas; core inflation jumped to 3.6 per cent in May on a year on year basis, up from 3.3 per cent in April. 1.6. Currently, the Western Food/Bakery Stall is sharing kitchen equipment with the mixed veg and noodlestallswhichisnotentirelysuitableforwestern stylecooking.Ithasalsobeenchallenging for the staff of the respective stalls to share the equipment during peak hours.

1.3. In January 2022, when Lian Xin's renovation works were near completion, the management in consultation with the President decided that Lian Xin should also serve as a training ground or 'transitional shelter' for Metta School alumni who are trained in baking and food preparation.

1.7. In the premises, we propose buying suitable kitchen equipment for the Western Food/Bakery Stall and Bakery section.

1.4. In February 2022, a Western Food/Bakery Stall was set up and Metta School alumni were employed to run it Public feedback about our western food, pastry and buns have been encouraging and they offer an alternative to the popular mixed veg rice

Thank you so much for your support towards our patients in need all these years. This year, with raising needs and inflation, there is increase in the utilization for our patient care funds. Last year, more than $1.2m were disbursed to help more than 2000 patients. Mostly were elderly with 97% of them having per capita income of $800 and less. This year, we are still at least $900,000 short in our fundraising target for needy patients.

In general, pure outright cash donation received, where the donor receives negligible or not tangible benefits, fall outside the scope of GST. However, if we specify a fee in money or in kind in rendering something in return, we are making a supply and the fee is a consideration for the supply which attracts GST Over time, the Temple has added new products, ceremony, group practice services both on-line and physical, we would need to review whether our current treatment of GST is in full compliance with IRAS GST guideline.
