Exploration Station Programs Winter Wonderland!

Dress for the weather and come feel the crisp, cool air as we explore the wonders of winter during this unique outdoor experience! Take a ride through the park, warm yourself with a campfire story, and enjoy hot cocoa and warm S’mores as we take in the beauty of a winter wonderland. Learn about why animals hibernate during this time of year, and make a coordinating craft to take home! Toddler Tuesday

Come join us in the castle area before the museum opens. Explore the Little Squire’s area and engage in social interactions with other toddlers and care givers. Perfect for entertaining little ones while the older children are in school. Please pre-register your tot and care giver the Friday before the activity date. This is a great program for toddlers with older siblings enrolled in the Early Learning Station Preschool. Special Families with Special Needs

Join us on the first Thursday of every month! Families with children of special needs are invited to Exploration Station for an evening of exploration and hands on interaction. This is also a great opportunity to interact and network with other families. Sensory activities will be provided for your child’s explorative enjoyment. Sensory Series for Toddlers

Children respond differently to sensory experiences. These experiences can be therapeutic, improve motor skills, raise awareness of how the world works, and contribute to language acquisition. Reading with the Dogs

Does your child struggle with reading, not really care for it, or maybe your child loves to read…whatever the case, this program will be great for your child. Along with the Schatzi Foundation, we are offering this unique opportunity for your children. Children will have the opportunity to read to a trained, certified, and insured therapy dog and handler. Pre-registration is required and parents need to be present during the program, but will be in a seating area while the children are reading.
