This is a scale model of Sharpes Centre of Design. To create this model, worked in a team with my peers. The purpose of the model was to focus on the structure of the building, therefore additional details such as windows and paneling were not included. My main role in making the model was to create the drawings on AutoCAD and laser cut the pieces for the main body and the base it sits on, however, due to other members not being able to complete their own tasks, ended up gluing and painting the model’s frame element as well.

This is a 1:50 section and a structural drawing from my final major project. These examples demonstrate my ability to work in 2D, using a mixture of different programs to create a detailed atmosphere in drawings. The left image is a 1:50 section which printed at A0 size. The right image is a structural drawing to show how the wall layout would look in section and an example of the facade of the building.

These drawings were part of my final major project. These are examples of plan drawings and showing ability to use 2D software to create the original designs. In the elevation drawing below, I captured the scale, details, and context of the building.

This is an exploded axonometric drawing from my final major project. used skills in technical programs: Rhino, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop and Twilight. I printed this drawing in A1 as the purpose of the drawing is to show the details of the materials and layers in the building.

Masters Year One Introduction

"Perhaps, throughout this project I tend to feel am not the best to tell this story. But from my research I have learned the importance of sharing knowledge and telling this story and everyone communicating issues surrounding this particular help. I have learnt the importance of raising awareness of this invasion, as it helps encourage more people to do their part. From people like myself are doing projects on the rebuilding, to people working with humanitarian projects to people just donating to support the efforts to recover."

This projects aim was to look deeper into the invasion of Ukraine, to study the affects of war and to create a strategy on behalf of the UN that will help with the rebuilding of Ukraine. The project is set in a hypothetical future where the aggressors have been removed from the country and the Ukrainian government shift their focus onto rebuilding their cities and infrastructure and spend the necessary time and money recovering from the events of war. I will demonstrate my UN strategy, by focusing my project to be from the point view of the UK and what would be expected from my UN strategy, by following the story from the perspective of the UK teamworking in Ukraine.

The following pages are a selection of images and drawings from the main project from the first year of masters.

These renders where created as part of my first masters project, learning how to render and creating images with meaning and layers. These were created using Sketchup models and rendered via V-ray and edited in photoshop.

Masters Year Two Introduction

Project Overview

Simply put, this project is a proposal for the 2031 and 27th world scout Jamboree. After attending a World Scout Jamboree as a participant in Japan 2015, come to realise that there is a missed opportunity when it comes to the site used for the hosting the jamboree. World Scout Jamborees traditionally start with a large open piece of land, then hosts the jamboree for 36,000 people or more and then once everyone has left, goes back to being just an open piece of land. The location of the WSJ in Japan is still not in use now 9 years later.

The main goal is to select a location around the world that would greatly benefit the jamboree and create a project which would leave a positive and physical legacy on the site. Leaving behind the scouting values and messages of peace and humility which will outlive the ten day Jamboree and positively affect young people and the environment of the chosen site well beyond.

The project will be represented in two periods of times, the first will be a proposal for the jamboree design itself, and how the site would be during the event. The second will then be the post jamboree changes and adaption. The overall goal is to leave a positive and lasting impact in the chosen location.

The following pages are a selection of images and drawings from the main project from the second year of masters.
