“The ETL programme has made my aspirations of applying to Cambridge more of a reality, by giving me all the information I needed to make an informed decision about my academic future. For example, trips to both Cambridge University and Oxford University provided opportunity to explore both universities and meet with current students. Through the ETL I was also aware of the Cambridge Shadowing Programme that afforded me the experience of spending three days at the University shadowing a current Geography undergraduate. Also, the support of the ETL programme gave me the confidence to apply for my work experience; the chance to see the work of the United Nations in Geneva and focus on their work towards controlling climate change is something I never imagined I would spend my work experience completing. This will further my knowledge and experiences in my chosen field. Overall, the ETL programme has made grand academic opportunities much more reachable, driving my studies and extra-curricular activities forward.”
