SCHOOL TRANSPORT SERVICE
Our flexible school bus service will pick up your child before the start of school and/or will drop your child off at home at the end of the school day.
Junior School students Door-to-door service (minibus). Junior students can choose between an AM-only pickup, a PM-only drop-off, and the regular two-way service. The door-to-door service is not available for Foundation 1 children. The service for Foundation 2 children starts after the half-term holiday in October. Any requests for a child in Foundation 2 to start traveling to school by minibus before October will be considered by his or her Headteacher together with the BSN's Transport Department and can be agreed to in exceptional cases. All buses depart 15 minutes after school finishes. Students attending co-curricular activities after school need to be collected by their parents/guardians.
Senior School students Coach service is available to our senior students, with designated pickup points (see pages 3-5). Students can choose between an AM-only pickup, a PM-only drop-off and the regular two-way service. At the moment, our coach service buses operate in Amstelveen, Amsterdam, Berkel en Roderijs, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Rijswijk, Voorschoten, Wassenaar and Zoetermeer. If you cannot find your area, please contact us; we are always willing to investigate the feasibility of a new bus route. Fees for the BSN Transport Service 2021-2022 The fees depend on the type of bus service your child will be using. The minimum registration is one term. Fees that are paid for transportation cover the costs made. No profit is made, so we can keep the cost as low as possible. Transition from Junior School to Senior School Students will automatically be transferred to the appropriate bus service when changing from Junior School to Senior School unless written notification is received before the notification dates listed below.
Are you moving house?
We need one week to process your move and get your child a place on another bus. Please let us know as soon as you can.
Leaving notification
Should your child no longer require the bus service, please let us know by email. Please note the deadlines listed below. If you miss the deadline, we have to charge you for the following term as well. The following dates act as the deadlines for receipt of notification of leaving in the school year 2020- 2021: • Leaving at the end of Autumn Term (18 Dec 2020): Notice is required by 18 Sep 2020 • Leaving at the end of Spring Term (1 April 2021): Notice required by 1 Jan 2021 • Leaving at the end of Summer Term (16 July 2021): Notice required by 16 April 2021
