SCOTTISH BOTANISTS’ CONFERENCE Saturday 5 November 2022 Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh Programme and Booking Form – postal bookings by 28 Oct please Everyone with an interest in Scottish botany is very welcome to the Scottish Botanists’ Conference which will be held in person at RBGE. We are delighted to announce that our special guest speakers are Clifton Bain who will give a talk entitled Rainforests and Peatlands: Travels around Scotland's most threatened habitats and Shaila Rao who will talk on Plant Conservation at Mar Lodge NNR. We also have a full programme of interesting short botanical talks, an Exhibition, Identification Helpdesk, the BSBI Photographic Competition and botanical bookshop, Summerfield Books. After lunch we have organised a great selection of workshops for beginners, intermediates and more experienced botanists - mostly on plant ID but there is also a discussion workshop. You will be able to choose up to two workshops. A flat £30 fee will be charged to cover organisation costs, workshops, speakers' expenses and teas and coffees. We hope the RBGE staff canteen will be open for sandwiches at lunchtime - but this cost is not included. Everyone is very welcome to join us for the Conference dinner.
