Once a destination spot for thousands of sports fans, The Rubber Bowl Stadium, located outside of Akron, Ohio, is reimagined for people to live and gather in. It was left behind in 2008 then partially demolished in 2018 leaving an abundance of concrete steps behind. The existing fabric will still be recognized and valued, while still meeting the needs of the growing community. The organization and hierarchy is left in place to build a relationship between the additions and landscape views that are unexpected, creating multiple levels of interiority.
