September 2, 1903 Today Lawrence and I brought home our baby boy named after Lawrence. I am ecstatic, Lawrence Jr. is the sweetest infant and I am so excited to be his mother. Dear Father, I sincerely apologize for crashing your brand new Cadillac into the lamppost over my brief summer break. I would like to repay you some how. Maybe I could come work at your office for free over the summers. I would also like to thank you for not only paying for the repairs on the car but for paying my tuition fees for Stanford University.
