Emily Rose Audibert Miss Connecticut 2012 Emily has recently returned from the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas where she had the extraordinary experience of competing on the Miss America stage in swimsuit, evening-wear, onstage question and talent. She entertained the judges and audience with a lyrical solo to “Listen”, a song by Beyonce Knowles from the Broadway musical “Dreamgirls”. Its lyrics depict a woman who is sticking up for herself, making a passionate plea to have her thoughts, feelings, and opinions heard. It is an empowering song for all women and its message is consistent with what Emily believes is the spirit of the Miss America Organization. We are exceptionally proud of Emily for earning the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and most importantly, for bringing home two national Miracle Maker Awards. Connecticut is the recipient of the 2013 Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s Miracle maker Award for the highest percentage raised per contestant, which could not have happened without the hard earned success of Emily’s golf tournament, where she raised over $12,000!!! Emily is looking forward to the second half of her reign, and has plans to visit as many schools as she can promoting her platform, “Let’s Move!”, an initiative launched by First Lady Michelle Obama to fight against childhood obesity. Emily feels strongly that the position of Miss Connecticut is to help and support others both through deeds and as a role model, and that the responsibility and influence of Miss Connecticut will not end when her reign is over.

Jaine’ Coann Lefebure Miss Oustanding Teen 2012 A lifelong resident of Glastonbury, Jaine’ Coann LeFebure attends the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts as a full-time student beginning her Junior year. She maintains an A-average academically while managing a rigorous schedule of vocal, dance, acting, and technical stage training. She is also very active in Musical Theater productions and most recently was seen in the first ever high school production of “Caroline or Change” - an acclaimed Broadway show. She also recently served as Stage Manager for the comedy production titled “Servant of Two Masters.” She is a two-time top scholarship winner from Oklahoma City University Summer Music Theater Intensive performing in the shows “Beauty and the Beast” and “Urinetown.” As talented vocalist, Jaine’ Coann has won many awards such as Northeast Region Overall Top Vocalist at the Access Broadway Competition. She went on to place 2nd overall at their National Competition held at Disney World in Florida. Jaine’ Coann has had a professional acting and modeling career since she was one year old and has appeared in many advertisements both for print and television. An avid skateboarder, she has been seen at skate parks throughout New England dropping in vertical, ripping up big bowls and performing 360-degree spins on the ramps. She has been a two- time town Tournament Champion and an All-Star Rider for the nationally acclaimed Woodward Skate Camp in PA. Jaine’ Coann learned on a personal level how important it is to wear a helmet, pads, and wrist guards while participating in sports and has developed a personal volunteer platform called “Play it Safe, Play Again” where she uses a variety of ways to encourage and educate children and adults to wear their safety gear. In August, she represented Connecticut at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition, the little sister to Miss America, in Orlando, Florida. There she was awarded the Preliminary evening gown and on-stage question award, Teens in Action Finalist, The Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze level and First Runner- up to Miss America’s Outstanding Teen.

To my dearest Rockville, We’ve spent a year together, you and I. We’ve braved parades in blistering heat, cancelled events due to freezing rain, and everything in between. I’ve eaten delicious pizza on the town green and been treated to traditional town celebrations. I’ve watched children grow, made friendships that will far outlast my reign as your representative, and even judged a pie-eating contest. All this I have been blessed to do at your invitation. With your support and encouragement, I have been able to promote my community service platform, child sexual abuse prevention and awareness, to an unprecedented extent. The crown has come off my head and transformed from a glittering accessory into a megaphone through which I have been able to voice my support for various CSA organizations and initiatives. I have been beyond fortunate to have your assistance in turning the figure of Miss Greater Rockville from the winner of a beauty pageant to an activist and a supporter of victims. Some of the best moments of this year have been those short conversations where an individual will contact me or pull me aside at an event to have a word about my platform; this work is my passion and I have been inspired by my experiences in Rockville to continue advocating for survivors of child sexual abuse throughout my life. In return, I hope you’ve benefited in some way from my presence. (Even if the benefit is purely amusementbased!) My goal throughout my year has been to bring together the people of Rockville, previously unexposed to pageantry, and the influence of the Miss America Organization. I consider myself a member of both circles; as a member of the Rockville community, I have striven to represent the area well within the MAO, while also trying to infuse Rockville with those values that the MAO holds dear. The match hasn’t always been a perfect one, but I am so grateful for the progress we’ve made and infinitely thankful for the continuously warm welcomes I have received from the residents of Rockville. Never have I met such a close-knit group as the people I’ve gotten to know in this town. My only regret is that I cannot spend more time here serving you. Tonight we will crown a new Miss Greater Rockville, my successor, and hopefully someone with whom I will be privileged to work very closely in the coming months. This young lady will become an instant local celebrity with dozens of opportunities to support her community, promote her platform, engage with the media, network with new people, and bring these communities closer together. She will compete for Miss Connecticut in June with all the backing of the Miss Greater Rockville Organization, and help fund her education through the scholarship prize awarded to her tonight. She will have a wonderful year of self-discovery and community involvement. I am thrilled for her. I am thrilled for you. Thank you, Rockville. Love Always, Katlyn Lewicke Miss Greater Rockville 2012
