Dear reader, New ideas are important for the world. Just imagine if there had never been a fish that thought of venturing on to land. Imagine everyday modern life without the wheel – and what would have happened if Johannes Gutenberg had not developed a method of movable type? We wouldn‘t even be able to send this message to you. Ideas make our world more comfortable and interesting. That applies to all areas, including our own. This is why we are constantly expanding the limits of feasibility to create products which set new benchmarks time and time again.
Our furniture is designed to push back and redefine boundaries. In short: Brunner lives for furniture that makes new things possible. And we have plenty of new things to report. This is why we have developed a summer collection to go along with the Summer News for the first time. In it, you can expect to see ten new products, all at once, from the Office and Public Spaces departments. However, we have not just developed new contract furniture – in this edition we are proud to also be able to introduce you to our new production facility: the Innovation Factory.

We are developing something new so that innovations can continue to happen. We ceremonially broke the ground for the construction of our new production facility the Innovation Factory on 15th May 2017. The modern, transparent building in Rheinau, Germany won‘t just be home to development work – thanks to the open architectural concept, cust omers will also be given the opportunity to watch the final assembly. The open design of the entire building ensures that the development and production processes are visible to our customers, helping us to convey the high quality of our product development processes. The Innovation Factory will become the visible heart of our innovative activities. When implementing new product ideas, we rely on the cooperation of external designers, expert suppliers, customers and our own engineers to develop innovative products.
And that will all be on display: the visible wooden structure of the industrial building provides a striking image that makes reference to the company‘s manufacturing concept – because a lot is made by hand during the production of our contract furniture. The building is split into the cafeteria, innovation, office, and assembly and dispatch areas. The Innovation Factory is a self-contained building on the company‘s own site with a logistics facility and a link through to the existing production hall. We will have to wait until the autumn for its official opening. Until then we are proud to present our very latest products to you. So, make yourself comfortable!

Everyone will find room at the ray table, as its new oak legs offer plenty of legroom. Regardless of whether the table top is rectangular, round or curved, the slimline bevelled edge rounds the ray table off perfectly. It‘s almost a shame that you don‘t even see its second new feature: the supporting structure now hides a groove for electrical connections so that cables can be hidden once and for all.
